Actually... Ed Werder reported the story... used words like "inside sources" and "a person close to the team".

It had no legs whatsoever in his delivery. It could very well have been fabricated.

I'm sick and tired of getting Bobby Carpenters and Anthony Spencers in the 1st round anyway. Use that pick to get an established young offensive player with tons of potential. Roy WANTS to win and has something to prove; even more than a rookie would.

This is just dumb because JJ is too gunshy on trading firsts because of his dumb Galloway deal. But we weren't the contender we are now so it's not the same.

If he really did, I would like to think that somebody on the team had the cajones to put TO in his place.

I doubt it went down like that. TO's a perpetual whiner, but so are most WRs. I've even seen Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison upset with Manning. It's just the nature of the WR beast I guess.

Reality is he'll soon be 35. Effective WRs past the age of 35 is a pretty short list.

If they can get Williams for a late 1st rounder, they have to seriously consider it, although if it were me, I'd offer a 2nd and another pick initially.
