Logan Wilson: Starting MLB in 2026?

It’s a core muscle injury. Some type of hernia. Those abdominal surgeries are no joke for athletes.

He’ll take the biggest bag he can get and then end up fading away.
Can’t blame a guy for wanting to get paid. But not sure he’s gonna get any long term deal coming off an injury at his age. But time will tell

It's not true at all Look man I'm 55 years old and I've been a weekend warrior been playing sports all my life i've had almost all these injuries that a lot of our players have suffered given the fact that I'm old I know it's harder to come back from like my ACL replaced in 2018 but nine months later I was almost back perfect like it never happened..

But I had a hernia in 2023, I had a lower hernia in the groin area, I actually was still wakeboarding and snowboarding with it, it was a little bit limiting not that big a deal though it was just a pain management thing... I actually wore this little thing that you put a little egg in it it looks like a jock strap and it pushes the hernia in and holds it in...

I thought that myself that you're talking about ,it's no joke, i'm sorry but I was a little worried about having a surgery myself, until I talked to my doctor and surgeon and they assured me that within 30 days..

I could be back doing whatever I wanted, and you know what they were right I had surgery June 1st and July 1st I was back wakeboarding, and I don't know if you've ever done extreme sports but I also still at my age doing flips they're called inverts i'm riding at 24 miles an hour and taking bad bad falls getting stretched out 'cause I'm stuck in bindings some of the falls are like car wrecks you need all your core muscles..

I was back 100% in 30 days they inserted some kind of mesh It was done with three little holes in my stomach, Now like laparoscopic no big giant cut across your stomach didn't cut through muscles..

Literally to this day, I can't tell I had the surgery It's not that big a deal it's not something that would hold you back from signing a player even at his age so I just want to make sure you had some real feedback the surgery they do nowadays it's not as evasive as you think especially to a hernia injury.. Like I said I'm 55 I was 53 when I had that surgery it only took me 30 days to get past it and I was doing everything it was absolutely like it never happened..

What you're going to say whether you're not an NFL player you're not a pro sports elite level athlete it doesn't matter the body's the body The things I do at work too in HVAC you know installing equipment lifting things in the attics look I'm just telling you you're looking at it wrong and you're wrong he'll be just fine I mean if that's what he has we don't know what he has but it's not that big a deal at all he just needs to have the surgery and give it the offseason he'll be 100 percent ready to go and feel no I'll effects game one at all he'll be playing training cap he'll be practicing he'll be every camp in mini camp he'll be having no problems..

It's not that big a deal hernia surgery it only takes 30 days to recover him having an entire offseason he'll be back for practices and camps for whatever team he's on I already had the surgery I know...

But that is the reason they tell people to hold out and get on a long-term contract because you can get injured it happened to Prescott on the franchise tag it can happen to anyone And he was a team player he took a little extra bonus money and he was a trooper he didn't force a trade he didn't make a speckled out of himself he went and tried to play it's been a bad season for the Bengals and he's trying to fight through it and you can play with a hernia it doesn't feel good But I wore this thing called a jockstrap thing and it has like a little egg you put and it presses in on the hernia so it can't poke out and it keeps that area stable It's not that big a deal yes it will be limiting for a professional athlete but I play sports on my weekend warrior and it didn't really hold me back..

Keep Logan, but they need to draft a guy who can compete for his spot.
Priority #1 in the draft is a MLB. Whoever is the highest-rated MLB when they get to pick in round 1 has to be the pick. Can't wait until the 4th round, hoping for someone to fall.

TLDR

so, Yet it's still true,

hey I'll give you the short version,

a hernia does not limit a player for coming back 100 percent30 days later POST SURGERY, you got it??

so that statement made above was absolutely wrong, a hernia is not something that would keep a player from being signed to a long term deal ,and worry about his age etc coming into the next season, absolutely not i,t's a 30 day healing time, it's one of the least things you'd have to worry about, if a guy had an injury,

that would be an ACL or a major knee injury...

Pretty sure the Ravens will release Roquan Smith after this season ( cap issue ). Not sure if he's better than Wilson but he was drafted by Eberflus.
We were right on track for that after the Panthers, Broncos, Cardinal losses.....but then Quinnen happened.

We in AQ time.......

My top priority is defensive end. Finish the line rebuild. MLB and safety are equal to me for next in line. Ideally, we'd take a DE in the first, trade down slightly with the second first-rounder and take a MLB and safety with those next two picks depending on how the draft fell.

I'd love DE David Bailey with the first, followed by LB Jake Golday, LB Anthony Hill Jr., S Emmanuel McNeil-Warren or S Genesis Smith with a trade down into the second. (This is based on prospect rankings out there. I do not watch college football so I cannot vouch for these players myself.)

My bad for some reason thought he was a free agent - just saw his contract - 21 mil next year - ouch - that’s about 65 mil for the 3 DTs.

Either way we gotta get a MLB and DE - can’t go with Wilson and we need a pure pass rusher
IMO, Clark won’t be making $21M next year. His contract is at the point where he has no guaranteed money and can be cut for nothing. And he were cut, no other team will pay him $21M.

My bet is he restructures for some guaranteed money and remains with Dallas.

We can get under with a few simple restructures. Dak will be one of them because his base salary is $40 million. He has a bunch of void years on the back end of his contract that we will push most of that into. Lamb's base is $25 million, so essentially those two restructures cover the $60 million. Anything else would create space. So I don't know if that's what you mean by "major renegotiating." Those restructures are built in and can be triggered by the team exactly for this purpose.

I don't see us signing any top FA because we never sign any top FA. It has little to do with the cap. It is a Jones philosophy. I think we'll work on re-signing a few of our own: franchise tagging Pickens, re-signing Javonte Williams, Clowney, Houston, Adeniji, maybe Donovan Wilson, maybe Fowler, our RFAs and our ERFAs.

I do think we may try to extend Clark's contract to get his cap hit down next year. We will do an extension with Tyler Smith that will lower his hit. We may try to extend Quinnen and lower his hit. We could restructure Diggs, Odighizuwa and Steele.

I mean, despite all we've done this year, we're still $22 million under the cap that we will carry over to next year, according to spotrac. When it's all said and done, next year will likely be similar to that.

Plus, there's this from USA Today:
Not really philosophy, he tried for higher dollar FAs and failed so badly he quit trying.

It now has a ton to do w/ the cap. Simple math.

I noticed that they used Kenneth Murray in the first half and switched to Wilson in the 2nd half of the Chiefs game. Are they just hoping to keep guys "fresh"? Murray is a complete liability. Wilson is not an elite LB'er but he's clearly better than Murray and was worth the trade. He needs to take all of Murray's snaps. I don't know why they keep pushing Murray. He is god awful.

No. They have said they made this choice because high-dollar free agents are not worth the price. It is a philosophy. Even when they've had cap space, as they had this year, they have not used high-priced FA.

No, they rotate by series.

Jerry has said that now have cap dollars available the would have gone to Parsons.

I’d prefer a veteran mike linebacker and edge and then draft safety and corner with the two 1sts
