Lot’s of turmoil going on with the Cowboys right now with Dak’s and Cee Dee’s contract negotiations. The Jones keep daring Dak to prove his worth and Dak continually delivers coming in 2nd in NFL MVP voting with MM’s QB guruness. He’ll do the same this year and it will be interesting to see how the Jones screw that up.

But for this year, Dak’s here so the passing game will be as elite as it was last year and I predict better. That’s because of the road graders the Cowboys drafted along the offensive line. Tyler Smith, Guyton, Beebe and Thomas. With Martin on the right along with an excellent run blocker in Steele and the offensive running game should be decent. The RB room is not complete as of today as I fully expect a trade before the season starts for a more established RB. Being able to run the ball will go a long way in playoff games.

As for stopping the run, well they have a lot to prove. Kneeland will be a help as he’s solid against the run but Hankins is gone and the only draftee was a 7th rounder in Rogers. Mazi’s still a question mark and hoping for the best there but again, it’s only May and I expect an upgrade with the DT’s before the season starts. Being able to stop the run game goes a long way in playoff games.

IF they can do those 2 things, then this team is more than capable of going far into the playoffs haters be damned!
yaes, new season, new hope, clean late, lets do this!!!

I look forward to the dead weight, underachieving players being excised from this organization.......it's been years coming.

That Hope and Change you can believe in

I’ll be surprised if the Cowboys make the playoffs. The team is worse than last year.
The evidence in is so far and it leans that way......unless of course all of last year's and this years draftees miraculously rise to starter level........

Anything is possible
Like Jerry suddenly selling the team...
Likely is another story

It's gonna be interesting to see what the REAL philosophy of the FO turns out to be.

One thing is for sure though, the players shouldn't feel too much pressure to win because they know the rosters talent way better than we do....they're playing with house money if Dak, Ceedee and Micah aren't extended

Whether we're going to win 1 game or 17, I'm always looking forward to the season.

He got his Virtue Signaling in for the day.....as if the rest of us aren't looking forward to watching our favorite team play again......sheesh
If you base it on the conduct of the forum since GB loss it’s a valid question as if the rest of the forum is looking forward or not

Well he's the one who started a thread saying if we lose Dak we are doomed to 10-15 years of losing football. So...
Yea ....... he says Dak "continually delivers"

Then the playoffs happen.

Then the OP has to look for excuse like "he was second in MVP votes" ....... one vote from a Media Cowboys fan.

I have doubts the passing game will be better. Because any issues with the passing game weren't due to the OL. It was the QB and you can argue an ineffective/inconsistent run game.

With the decisions that Cowboys have made at RB this offseason, it's quite possible the run game could get worse which means the QB might be more ineffective if they put more and more on his shoulders to overcome a poor run game. They really have to make sure this run game works. Hopefully there is a camp cut out there or a trade that can improve the RB group because right now, it's kinda sad.

Jerry and Stephen are going to be facing some major heat after this season if their cheapness and decisions result in another disappointing season.

It may be a question......but 99% of us will be watching the Boys.

If we haven't left after a quarter decade of this......why leave now?

It's finally getting interesting, lol

One year deals are the norm now. For all teams not just the Cowboys.
There may be some validity to that but if you've noticed it's mostly either the ancillary players or older players that are getting the one year deals.

Looking at the Eagles, they've sewn up starters in their prime on the OL, WR, and others in longer term contracts.

The reason it appears Cowboys-centric on the one year deals is that any of our free agents are past their prime and are rented instead of bought

I think the D will be more sound, but I’m curious about TO’s. Diggs and Bland are just naturally gifted at forcing TO’s but I don’t remember Zimm’s D’s getting much.

If those go down it’s going to be tough
