IDK about you but the passrush seemed to be just fine the final 4 weeks and 2 playoff weeks.

last 6 games of 2014
15 sacks 16 forced turnovers

thats almost 3 sacks and almost 3 turnovers per game. People need to get off the whole this team has no passrush bit. What this team needed was just to get out of that zone. They did that and the production started happening. Dallas had 28 sacks for the yr, and 15 came in the last 4 games and 2 playoff games.

We must be watching different game when a one legged Rodgers beat us because we couldn't generate enough pass rush. Last season we won a lot of close games. Next year we may not be so lucky. Our best D last year was our offense sustaining long drives.

Tell me this....when did a team have TOO MUCH pass rush? Never. Giants won two SB because they can generate great pass rush with front 4. Great front 4 can cover up a lot of back end deficiencies.

harold doesn't have the pass rush movers or power to be a hand in the dirt DE. Looks like more of an athlete than a football player to me. I don't see anything special. Relies on his quickness and athletic ability to beat lower players in college that ha no chance to play in the NFL. His athletic ability and quickness will e matched in the nfl with even better speed and power. I say a big no thanks to Harold at 27.

He measured a little smaller than I hoped. I'd like him a ton more if we were still a 3-4. At 27, BPA. He's in my top 5 for options at 27. Also, I don't have the anointing oil out for Lawrence at RDE just yet. I'm not ruling out RDEs until one is getting 10+ sacks.

Harold has good pop and was much better with his hand on the ground than when they had him stand imo. I think he needs technique help, but I think he's quicker than anyone we currently have. I might be in the minority, but I'm going hard for any pass rush help.

You can't take that approach in the draft. If you want to target a certain position you do it in free agency. I would like a top rated RDE in the draft, but I'm not reaching for a player if I can get a much higher rated player just because one can play on the DL.

Let me better state my position. All things being equal I go for the guy with better pass rush ability. I think we have a ton of left DE's. I think we have one guy we hope will be a good RDE (Dlaw), and once guy who really has no business at RDE (Mincey), but because of effort and guile he's average at the position.

Dupree
Harold
Orchard

As what overall players? 34 OLB or 43 DE?

As 34 OLB Dupree is far away better. He's a top 20 pick.
34 OLB
Dupree top 20 player(best standing up rushing wide. Quick standing up and get by the OT)

Harold late 1st development 34 OLB. Great athlete but not much else right now. Reminds me of Dee Ford

Orchard not built for a 34 team. Stiff on his cuts and needs to engage and use his hands.

43 DE
Orchard is far the best out of the 3.
Great pass rushing moves. Quick with his hand in the dirt and has very strong hands to fight off.

Dupree is 2ndround talent as a 43 DE. He will go mid 1st to a 34 team. Has the best size out of the 3 but his pass rush moves and quickness is not there yet when his hand is in the dirt. Dupree day 1 is a 34 OLB or a wide 9 DE in nickel. Needs to develop pass rush moves. Once a strong DE gets his hands on Dupree his is stopped.

Harold is far fat away from starting as a 43 DE. He needs to add bulk strength and pads rush moves. Relies on quickness.

You didn't say in the past that Dupree was not a 1st round talent?

Yes i have. I said a 34 team would pick him in the 1st. I said he wasn't a 1st round 43 team. Go back and look. I've said many times a 34 team will take him 1st round.

Thread Title: Bud Dupree....Get em
supercowboy8:
No way he is a first rounder. The guy had great motor but that's about it. That's how he gets most his sacks. Hardly ever beats his guy off the ball and doesn't have great quickness. Just jeeps working.

Yeah for dallas a 43 team. I still wouldn't touch him. I said a 34 team will take him jn the 1st. Dallas runs a 43 there guy.

Also just because he's a 1st round pick doesn't mean he will be good. I've also said many times he will be a bust. He reminds me of Marcus smith. And stand up only rusher that will get drafted in the 1st round. His lack of pass rush moves will hurt him. You can't just run around nfl OTs like he did in Kentucky vs Vandy

This is basically the answer I was looking for originally.

Ok I stick by what I say and always said. Treat richardson was drafted 4th over all. Claiborne 6th. Hugh draft pick doesn't mean your going to be great
