Sean Lee, Jaylon and then LVE. Three guys who if had stayed full health, probably be in ROH talks. But probably wouldn't have dropped to us in draft if full health. Probably need to stop risking it on such a high body impact position.
The team that Jimmy Johnson built had much strength from other team cast offs and unknowns in the draft...

Frankly it doesn’t matter. I think LVE has regressed significantly since his rookie year. Lots of people on here like him but all I saw was a soft, unproductive player. They can easily find better.

Fred and now LVE lost due to genetic disorders. Obviously different cases but both end with productive former first round picks being forced off the roster prematurely.

LB is the clear target in round 1 now. Supersedes our need at OL imo. Take an OT in round 2…..
We have less depth than people realize. Could see the team going south next year if more of the wrong things happen.

..sucks for LVE. Doesn't forbode well, seeing him again in Dallas uni.

Hopefully, another team picks him up. Then with those neck situations. Its a tuffy.

BTW, a little bit off-topic, but I caught this fan made video the other day and I think it’s a great take on linebackers. It’s about Jimmy‘s defensive philosophies which I think have been a big influence on how the Cowboys have looked at the position since. Been while since I‘ve seen something that reminded me how good Ken Norton was before they decided not to pay for him. I know that wasn’t a Jimmy pick, but the video maker shows some of his unheralded plays in 92 Playoffs that started the dynasty.

That was when a million dollars was not done in Dallas. After losing Norton in free agency, that policy adopted and changed as to value.

No, wait until you specialize in neck injuries before looking like a fool.
A neck injury ended Michael Irvin's career and took him out of a Philadelphia game in progress to the cheers of their fans!!

foolish me, I’ll let you know when I graduate MD…. I’ll finally be allowed to discuss LVEs injury/IR status
Well, go ahead and step up with the specifics of the medical then. Otherwise bias only is being spewed about.

Yep,
There is more to life than football.
A lot more.
Not if one is committed in the now to that very lifestyle. There is a lot of investment in that player's life to the decision to move on. That is his and the team's discussion from there.

Not really a fan hoping for a new 'hero.'

Saw this coming right after they confirmed he had another neck injury. This could be the end of the line for him. I said when he suffered his first neck injury that he might not last until he’s 28.

Overshown
Clark
Harper
Cox

Drafted 4 in the last 3 drafts and technically Parsons was a LB also.
Overshown, Clark - injury draft drops. Harper - 6th round.

#11 playing DE more than LB now. But yeah, for sure great pick. But he should be since drafted that high.

Jerry wants great players just like everyone else, I’m just saying that he tries to wildcat most of his good ones because of injury concerns.

Seems weird to me to do it that much at Linebacker. I’m not sure other than running back there is a position that takes that type of abuse.
