It would seem likely that LVE will continue to develop with added time, experience and development. Sean Lee has definitely done well in taking Vander Esch under his wing to bring him along. Obviously, LVE was the consummate pupil to teach. Congratulation to both of them are in order. Here's hoping Jerry and Stephen Jones make room for Sean to help our young LBs along via a coaching position when he retires. It'd be a no-brainer, assuming that he'd be willing to accept the role. Let's also hope for LVE to remain as humble and dedicated as he is now.

Game saving tackle ! Lee would never have had made that play! I love lee ! But LVE is the truth !
You're wrong. Lee has been making plays like that (when healthy) his entire career. I think LVE is great but you don't have to tear someone else down to appreciate what the rook has done. Great job LVE. Lee is our LB's coach next year.

I don't get all the hate for Lee. Teams, and players like Rodgers, confess they have to account for him and gameplan accordingly. When healthy he is one of the top defenders in the league. The young LBs are going to benefit tremendously from his tutelage. He is a special player.

I will take my slice of crow pie as well. I did not like his college tape and felt he was a project. He has far exceeded my wildest expectations at this point in his career. Kudos to you sir. With SL tutelage he just might become something. :)

I still think he & Jaylon misplay some coverages though. They aren't presenting any obstacle for the QB to complete some of those short to intermediate throws because they aren't aligned well nor drop to the right places to give the corners just a split second more to close the gap after the receiver makes the break.

Sorta funny about Jaylon. Finally healthy & still isn't the best LB on the team. Maybe LVE will take him under his wing. (never thought i would be saying that)

I've been watching both guys since they were freshman at Bama and there isn't a whole lot of difference between the 2 in terms of what Dak can do with a WR. I think Cooper is a little faster but Dak can't hit those go routes up the sideline anyway. Both guys get plenty of separation ect. Cooper is due a salary of 14 million next year and a huge contract extension. So, the choice is Ridley, a cheap contract for the next 4 years, and a 1st round pick, OR Cooper , a huge cap hit, and a lost first round pick.

I never liked Cooper's upside. I don't see that special of an athlete and I felt like he had peaked in colleged and that's why I liked the 2nd round guys because I felt like they were better athletes and had more boom potential then Ridley.

I honestly don't know if we could tell the difference between Ridley and Gallup if Ridley was here. Ridley would definitely been better earlier on in the season.

I never thought I would say it but this Defense is better now with Lee on the bench.

Ridley through 9 games has 500 yards and 7 TDs........... and he's maybe the 4th option on offense. He is a future #1 WR. Galleup is a career #2 at best.

That's just silly. Lee has made plays like that throughout his career. I'm glad we have LVE because he's playing on Lee's level (which is high praise for a rookie), but fans get carried away.

We'll see.

I would love to compare there numbers if Gallup had a QB that could throw. Gallup has more upside IMO because he's a better athlete.

I think you're really selling Gallups talent short.

Courtland Sutton is another guy I liked better because of where we could get him vs where we could Ridley.

All of these guys are comparable to Ridley with more upside IMO and could be had later on.

It is a whole lot easier to find a WR than it is to find a LB with size, speed, and tackling ability like LVE has. LVE is closer to qb value than he is to being compared to WR value.

He's easily the best WR in that draft class.

Wasn't first round worthy around here.

Well, we liked our guys. Who needs Ridley when we just signed Hurns and Thompson? Makes way more sense to see how things go and make a desperation mid-season trade if need be.
