I like your spunk. We are all fans. No one is greater than anyone else. Sure ,some have been fans longer, some have more knowledge and some are more obsessive about it but we are fans for a reason.

Really? Sorry those who wrote this team off and have nothing good to say are silent when we win but moan an cry when we lose are not much of a fan to begin with. This notion we are all big fans? Most teams could live without fence sitting fans or those who turn on the team at the 1st sign of trouble only to start that BS of oh well I'll eat crow

Ok, I'll play. You are entitled to your opinion as am I. Did I think we were in trouble after 4 games? I sure did. Am I glad I turned around? I sure am. Hopefully they can keep it going. Just because someone thinks one way or another does not make them a better or worse fan. Please.

If you don't know who that is, then you're not a true Cowboys fan. :p:

I have to tell you, she is extremely annoying. She annoys the players too.

it was her fault they put that fence up where the players entrance was at Texas Stadium.

Yes we had trouble but calling for the coaches to be fired? Ripping the team any time we have lost. Fans like that suck they turn on the team at the drop of a hat. So please yourself I'm sick of fans who can't support the team and as I said I doubt teams would want people who constantly doubt them as their fan. Let me ask you if anytime you made a mistake people raked you over the coals how would you feel. Try giving the team support through think and thin.

There are always going to be those type of fans. Get used to it. You don't have to like it but reality is people will complain. Maybe you don't. Maybe you don't look at past failures and have a little bit of doubt in the back of your mind. Good for you. Just don't tell others how they should be a fan, because like I said, nobody is better nor worse.

BTW - Teams would not want people who constantly doubt them? Thats comical. As long as they pay to see them and buy their merchandise, they can boo, scream and complain if they want to. It will make the owners and the NFL $$ none the less.

1st off as long as I stay within the board rules I will say what I feel if you don't like it too bad. I'm sick of fans who turn on the team at the drop of a hat or put their own personal agenda ahead of the team, if they don't get their way they constantly complain. As for viewing mistakes I call players out for making mistakes I don't call for their jobs, I know these guys are capable and do expect they work on improving to limit mistakes. Because you spend money does not make you much of a fan what is comical is you thinking everyone here is a good fan that is a joke if you constantly have to talk about eating crow then chances are you were not supporting much to begin with.

You are right there is nothing I can do about it but just as they call many die hard fans out as being kool-aid drinkers or not being realist? Well the realist are looking more and more like knee jerk fans who are ruled by emotion

I think he wants people to be robots. So if you say anything negative about America...you are no longer american? Or if your kid brings home Fs on their report card, you should reward them will smiles? Part of being upset with things is because you want CHANGE. Cowboy fans keep a high standard (ask Roy Williams) so in effect, i believe it makes the team play harder.

Please know what you are talking about. I did not say everybody was a ' good fan ' .Frankly, you can say what you want, but if you think you are a better fan because you don't complain or react like some do, then you are ridiculous. Why don't you show your fandom by ponying up some $$ for this site to go with your 40,000 posts. ;)

No I expect fans to call out mistakes many around here go well beyond that after week 4 we had so call fans giving up on the team and writing them off. No I don't consider them much of a fan to begin with.

If your kid bring on an F you expect him to work harder and improve you don't call him a ****** and give up on him. Then again maybe you do

..and change usually does not happen until there is pain. Case in point-Campo years = pain. Change = Parcells here and Jerry takes back seat. Case in point - Jerry thinks chemistry is overrated, Pain - We have what we had last year. Change = clean locker room out and build it back up with leaders and common approach.

I think many around here are better fans than some. I did not call you out and say you were not a fan, you got all defensive and now say well I did not say everybody. If what I said does not apply to you then really no need to be defensive about it. You know as well I as I do that we have some real trolls as fans at this site.

I think we are all fans, in various forms or categories if you want, but fans of the Dallas Cowboys and at least half of us don't even live in Dallas or anywhere near it. Now, that's a fan. :)

I think people claiming we were nothing but a 5-11 team are not much of a fan, even some of the tougher critics saw this team no worse than 9-7 and gave good reasons of why they felt that way. While I did not agree I never once said they were bad fans but I have been at this sight long enough to know we do have some real trolls as a fans Where you live has nothing to do with anything. I live in Houston and have had to drive outside of the Houston blackout area just to watch the game. Since 1965 I have missed one game when my grandfather passed away, I'm a the best fan out there? Never once claimed that but yes I'm a much better fan than some. I have great respect for many around here who can talk football especially Cowboys football without throwing the team under the bus in the process.

I am not questioning anyone on this boards fanhood because I know most of you are great Cowboy fans. Many of you on here probaly don't know me because I dont make controversial threads and I dont post often because I'd rather read what other people have to say. Anyway, I was sitting in my room last night thinking to myself though, who out there is actually a BIGGER fan than me? Allow me to go into detail:

1) I have not missed a game in 10yr (I am 21)
2) I pay alot of money out of pocket for direct tv so I can see everygame and due to that I'm always broke
3) I drive an hour and ahalf home every sunday morning if Dallas isnt televised so I can see the game. (How many of you would do that?)
4) Living 5 mins from philly,it takes more balls to be a Cowboys fan here then anywhere else in the country
5) I have just as much Cowboys gear/memorbilia then anyone on this board
6) i have the star tatood on me for life
7) Ive been in 3 physical altercations over my team
8) I have turned down sex for Cowboys games
9) I have never ever turned off a Cowboys game till the last second, whether we were up 40 or down 40
10) I watch pregame, the game, and postgame till the network switches to something else
11) This website is my homepage and I visit it atleast 3X/day
12) How many of you on here havent witnessed your favorite team win a playoff game? Since I was old enough to understand and care about football, I have never witnessed the Dallas Cowboys win a playoff game, and I still am passionate as anyone could be.
13) For the last couple of years, I have eaten Thanksgiving in THE OTHER ROOM BY MYSELF SO I COULD SEE THE TV. I'd argue that almost none of you do that. Call me stupid for it, but I'm not missing a game or a play for anything.

There are many other reasons why I am Boys fan, but these ones stuck out to me. I am not dissing people on this board because I realize some of you are just as great a fan as I am, but I will argue that any of you are greater.

Nice list, but many of these just about anyone can claim. Plus, don't #s 2 and 3 contradict each other?

I grew up in Jersey with an entire family of Giants fans. And in a battle between Philly and my family, bet my family, if just for the rap sheets. :D

Only three altercations?? Well, you're young. You have time.

#8 is not a positive, unless it was a Super Bowl you had tickets for.

BTW, how many Cowboys SBs have you gone to? I saw the Pasadena game w/ the Bills for free; it helps living a few blocks away and knowing the grounds crew.

#13 sounds horrible. I have no problems eating among friends and relatives while watching the game. They know how I feel about the 'Boys, and also know that there are knives around. :laugh2:

Now this is not to one up you or anything; I'm just sure that most here can come up with rebuttals to your "greatest fan" listing. Keep the faith, and stop eating alone on Thanksgiving.

...the greatest Cowboys fan.

In 2007 God told me to take my son up to the local mountain to sacrifice him. While my son was on the altar an angel came to me and told me to stop.

Off to the side in a bush was a St. Louis Rams jersey. I took the jersey and my son and I burnt it as an offering.

The following Sunday Romo has his miraculous recovery on the snap over his head leading to a 13-3 season.

That's my contribution as a fan.

Please convince me that the OP is joking. Where's "Gimmetheball"? He has divorced his wives, quit his jobs, and been thrown in jail in the name of the Cowboys.

...oh, and by the way, I drove 5 hours to watch the Cowboys on TV each Sunday they played (not for MNF and SNF games) from 2005-2007.

Only on this board could there be a multiple page thread with a bunch of guys arguing over who is the best fan. ;)

I think we must get awfully bored sometimes. ;)
