Hey Ladies & Gents!

What if Garrett called a pass play instead of a run play there?

What if Tony had handed the ball off just a fraction of a second sooner?? What if Peppers is a step outside of where he originally was?? What if....what if.....what if??? If it butt hurts you that much, start a "cut Zack" thread! Seriously!!!

Yeah, Martin should have held him and then the TD would have been called back. With that logic, you can argue it was Romo's fault Dez didn't hold onto the TD catch because he should have led him farther with the throw. Even deeper, that's kind of what's wrong with society today. Nobody takes responsibility anymore. There's always an excuse or the blame lies elsewhere. OWN IT. Murray fumbled it away.

And quite frankly it was his only chance at a title now that he took the money and jumped into the hole of futility known as Philadelphia.

Murray had the ball and as RB it is his responsibility to hold on to it no matter if the OL player misses a block.

I doubt murray scores on that play, safety looks like he had a good angle on him. Not to mention he slowes down after twenty yards anyway

I think maybe Martin secretly works for Mara, Kraft and goodell in order to hurt the cowboys.

First thing is he played a part in Sean Lee getting hurt last year and now we are learning he was responsible for Murray fumbling and hurting our chances to win the game vs GB.

Don your tin foil hats fellas it's ranting time....

IF IT ADDS UP IT MUST BE TRUE AND THOSE SAYING OTHERWISE ARE BURYING THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND AND ARE TO BLAME FOR LETTING GOODELL< KRAFT AND MARA DO THIS TO THE COWBOYS AND WHY HASN'T JERRY DONE SOMETHING TO MARTIN FOR THIS!?!!?!?!!

I'm confused as to how this entire thread isn't about the fact that this is being interpreted as a bad block.

Rather than take on the block and try to plug the whole, Peppers bounced to the outside and essentially took himself out of the play. It's not like he made the tackle. The block was fine. As an OL it doesn't matter if you pancake a guy 10 yards downfield or simply move him 2 yards out of a hole. Martin did his job, Murray didn't.

The guy holds the ball away from his body like a loaf of bread. At this stage in his career, that is completely unacceptable and you can expect more fumbles in his future.

If Murray was just a hair faster at hitting the hole, then this is a non issue. We can go back and look at several different factors in this game that someone could have done better. One play does not win or lose a game. Like the Lions said the week prior, they had 60 minutes to win that football game, one missed PI call does not win or lose a game for a team.

In the NFL, that's about as good a block from a Guard kicking out on a DE (let alone a Julies Peppers 8x Pro Bowler, 6x All Pro, Defensive POY and future HOFer) as you are going to get in the NFL. The hole was there and the DL forced that fumble from behind. It happens but if you are through the hole, then the fumble is the fault of the back. It is not the fault of the OL.

There is no way that was anybodies fault, except Murray's and anybody who says differently is flat wrong. Troy Aikman, during the broadcast, said the following: It's the biggest whole that I have seen, certainly the biggest whole that I have seen today."

:clap:Finally. Someone interpreted the run play and OL/DL responsibilities near perfectly. Some folks have been close but this is the best response by far.

Martin made poor block on play in Green Bay playoff game fumble by Murray.
I just noticed this recently, pepper, the guy who knocked the ball out on the play, was
Martins guy, the only guy Martin had to block was peppers, and if he did just a little better,
peppers would not have made it to Murray in time, and no fumble!

I will post some pics, but what I want to know from some of you who played lineman,
is a OL supposed to keep his head up ??
Is it bad form to lower the head so much your looking at the ground?
This is what Martin does on this play and it allows peppers ( a old guy lol) to slip arund and off the
block and leap at Murray.

If martin just delayed him 1 second longer it might have kept him from getting To murray, which he barely did.

Now I know some will blame Murray still, but the hit was from behind so it wasnt expected, he was looking at the open field then boom peppers hit his arm from behind.

I never saw anyone point this out about peppers being martins guy on that play.
It wasnt a good block.
Curious to see what fans here think about this, and the head down thing.

All Peppers could do was take a swat to try to stop Murray, so Martin did enough to help create a hole that got Murray past the first level with open field ahead of him. If Murray can't handle a swat by a player who is desperate because he's not in position to tackle him, that's Murray's fault. The O-line can't do it all.
