An idiot move by Childress and he's lucky it didnt cost em.

That's pretty much the definition of not treating your opponent with respect.
coogrfan;3237431 said:Personally I believe that was Favre's call all the way. No NFL coach (except maybe Buddy Ryan) would out his starting qb at risk under those circumstances.
Andy Reid is Brad's boyfriend and he probably didnt like how we kept Romo in there in Week 17.coogrfan;3237431 said:Personally I believe that was Favre's call all the way. No NFL coach (except maybe Buddy Ryan) would put his starting qb at risk under those circumstances.

It was an obvious ploy to rub Dallas' face in...that's all it was.
It wasn't "playing 60 minutes because anything can happen."
It wasn't "well they're throwing it all four downs so we better do the same since the SCORE IS SO FREAKIN' CLOSE..."
Total joke.

That is the very epitome of playing 60 minutes of football.
Honestly, besides seeing Marc Columbo getting owned the entire game, Keith Brooking going over to Minnesota Bench and complain about the score being ran up made me sick to my freaking stomach.
Make a dang on play if you don't like the score being ran up on you.
The Vikings played the game with a chip on their shoulders and absolutely "WILLED" themselves to the NFC Championship Game.
Dallas, not so much.
I didn't like that Minnesota ran the score up but this is Professional Football, if you don't come to play for 60 minutes, then as Emmitt Smith said about doing this against the 2007 Patriots, "You will be blowed out".

People need to keep in mind that sportsmanship is relative through space and time. It's not written in stone somewhere on a mountain. It's basically the same as good manners -- it's culturally relative. Spitting on the street in China is normal; it's rude here. Lighting up a cigarette in public in America used to be perfectly normal. Now it's illegal in many circumstances. Nothing like this informal rule exists, when you think about it, in soccer or hockey or tennis. However, running the score up in football has traditionally been seen as bad sportsmanship. I like that rule and would like it to stay but 10 or 20 years from now it'll probably be a thing of the past.
BUT for the time being it IS bad sportsmanship to run up the score in football in America. I hope the Saints beat the Vikings and I hope the players use this as motivation next year.
I don't blame Brooking for getting a little hot but, in the end, if they're looking for someone to be pissed at, try the mirror.
boo *** hoo. stop them if you don't like it.theebs;3236856 said:Marty b just said on the postgame show that what favre and the vikings did was wrong and did not show respect to the game and that the team already talked about it in the locker room because we go up there next year again.
He said they already beat us and there was no reason to embarrass us.
Thank you marty b.
Favre and childress are going to regret that, no doubt about it...you simply dont do that stuff.,

I don't like grown men to act like women. Football is a man's game. If you want "class" and sportsmanship"...go play golf!...and don't forget to tee off from the ladies Tee.

Put it this way...if Minnesota is up by 10 points in the 4th quarter, do they still go for it on 4th down there or do they kick the field goal?
My point is that there was no rhyme or reason for the Vikings to a) go for it on 4th down or b) run a playaction pass. Dallas would still have to drive 90 yards to make the score 27-10! A field goal would've made it 30-10!
