If it's not AD then just let the group of guys we currently have handle it.

Exactly what is the point, none of these other backs are going to make a impact and put us over the top. Let just run with what we have and we will be fine.

Consider the source...Broaddus....he has his time where he is right and makes sense. but most of the time he seems way off base. IMO anyway.
They need stuff to write and talk about...so what better than the RB situation....so it gives us stuff to post about...LOL...but that is what we are here for.

Now Jerry says they will not trade OL depth...but those are just words. If the right offer comes up then they have to listen. I do not see giving up OL depth, a big strength of the team. And is dependent upon the success of the running game. For an aging RB....if they were to trade Leary...there is only one RB to consider trading him for.

Broaddus never mentioned Forte. The Cowboys would never trade for that contract.

The cowboys already said they have no interest in Forte. Bogus article.

I hope not, seems like a desperation move if true.

The only thing in that article I was even remotely interested in was Knile Davis. Would be cheap, can haul the mail 25 to 30 times a game if necessary and is young.

Forte was was good for a while and could get you 50 to 60 catches a year out of the backfield. Trading for him now would pretty much go against the philosophy of not paying Murray. Yeah he is a million or so cheaper than what Murray was looking for but that difference is made up in giving away Leary or a draft pick of any kind.

Sorry can't do it.

I meant his saying the other day about trading an OL for a RB in general. Unless I read that wrong a few days ago.

That doesn't sound so crazy. Some of the RBs that have been mentioned is what sounds crazy. I think they discuss it with teams but they would be really picky.

I don't think Forte is an upgrade over McFadden. I am interested in Miller. At least he's younger and he adds a speed factor but I would not trade Leary for Forte. And Leary is being disrespected. He's important to that line. I think it would be a mistake to think Collins can just come in and replace Leary. Leary was good last year. He isn't looked at in the same light cause he wasn't a first round pick but he's just as good. Sorry, I root for the underdog

Lol, I wasn't being serious, but that random individual was the great Michael Irvin, who also predicted Dez to be MVP the year before with 2000 yards and 25 TD's.

Ok that explains more lol. God Bless Mike and his bold predictions.

Someone here please explain to me why we would let Murray walk and then add Forte.
Make no sense.

Murray is younger, faster, stronger than Forte...and we didn't need to trade important players and/or picks to keep him.

Again..make no sense and I do t see us doing it

The OP should say "rumor"

The only 30 year old RB we should trade for is AP. Forte is a solid player but his YPC took a big hit last season (3.9)... that worries me. Any trade for a back not named Adrian Peterson should be for a young & underrated guy on a cheap contract who can break out behind our line. Personally, I think we already have that guy on our roster (Randle).

I don't buy this, although Forte is a good back.

He is 29 though, so you don't pay age at RB and he still wants good RB money.

I agree. I don't want them to trade for him. He's not better than what they have in my opinion

He's better than what we have, but you don't trade for and pay for a 30 year old back.

I would be beyond pissed if they traded Leary and Randle for Forte.

I don't think I'd trade Randle for Forte straight up.

Definitely not a Matt Forte fan...

No to Forte. Bring in CJ2K if they are really wanting a 5th rb.

That trade would be a bad trade.

Chicago should give us a draft pick if we took Forte off their hands.

No to trading Leary. No to giving them a high draft pick for Forte. Maybe a 6th rounder would be ok. Maybe give them Dunbar.

Forte would be a starter with our lineup. Just don't trust who we have. He won't set the world on fire even with our team and honestly we should look elsewhere.
