The offense is dated but that’ll happen when Jerry hires washed up yes men coaches

Need a new young offensive mind to take this team somewhere.

These assistant coaches aren’t being hired to be developed for a promotion on their current team. Most of them have head coaching aspirations but they’re hired to do a specific job and someday it may lead to a coaching opportunity somewhere.
Sure they don't have assistant head coaches.

GM's just randomly take a guess and promote positions coaches and see who sticks.

I wonder why there are coaching trees of success??? That has to be just a coincidence right.

There’s plenty of assistant head coaches, but no guarantees they’ll ever get a head coaching opportunity in the NFL. Those coaches aren’t being brought in to be developed by the current head coach so they can take over for them.

Yes, he feels that way.
I recall several times him answering a question about a player’s performance to the effect of…‘he’d better, that’s what I pay him to be’

As if Lawrence was going to become Charles Haley by giving him 100 million.

Did I read that wrong or did he say what Aikman said was unfair because other positions suck as well?
Haha.

Good one!

You should be asking him that question in his next presser. MM: "Son, do you think i am an idiot?!"

Ehm.... yes??!

Say what????? Troy Boy was one of the Cowboy greats and I know Cowboy fans are critical of Aikman's critical comments about this organization since he's been in the booth doing NFL games, but if he is what he is and that's a Hall of Fame quarter and if he is reviewing games and notices a pattern with the Cowboy receivers then I say this have to be looked at more closely. The Cowboys had another great receiver who had a bad habit of running bad routes and it cost him an early retirement. That receiver was Dez Bryant, when he was that young stud with the Cowboys his speed allowed him to get lazy on his routes, but as he aged and the speed regressed corners were able to shadow him on his routes and he become less of a weapon and more of a liability. It wouldn't hurt ALL receivers and TEs to go to school on Troy's comments and start running their routes that the ball is coming to them. One more thing, Prescott isn't that good at finding his 2nd, 3rd or 4th target and tends to lock onto his 1st choice on pass plays, but if he was certain that others would be open it might help him to spread the ball around........................
The only fans critical of Aikman are the fanboys who get their feelings hurt every time they hear someone say something bad about the team. Aikman is always spot on in his critiques of this team. He's trying to help. This isn't like Stephen A saying something mean spirited and mocking.

Someone woke up on the right side of the truck bed this morning..
Plus, many say it's Jerry's fault...he won't need to worry about that at his next job.
While a huge percentage IS Jerry's fault, MM has been extremely lazy with his play design and calling. It's rare to see such a fine example of mailing it in.

Since you've coached, I'm curious as to your take on it. Since McCarthy wasn't renewed and is considered a "lameduck" at this point, is it more him being lazy with the job, or is it the players not executing his schemes properly because they know he's going to be gone either way?

As the walls continue to close in on the Jerry and Mike show, it's going to really become laughable.
