The anchors even asked him if the deal is 100% off and he said no its not 100% off but the rumblings he was hearing was enough for him to report it.

Which means he reports complete garbage to call attention to himself.

i would think they would sign him in a heartbeat. the anchors were like well if he plays great on Sundays but kind of sucks the other days who cares? sundays is what matters. i think this report is based more in terms of there is concern he could revert into bad habits if he gets paid and then we would be screwed.

It only makes sense for the Cowboys to keep things open.

The 49ers are even looking at Erin Henderson, along with Mason Foster and Lance Briggs.

It makes sense we have been talking to him in the last couple of days, the market is heating up.

No kidding, because McClain would be better than all the current signed LBs, possibly Lee too if he can say healthy.

I doubt we'll hear anything on McLain until after the June 1st cuts. Teams aren't as willing to grab up problem guys when other options can be had. He's had health and personal issues and now he's facing a suspension. The man can ball but would you be gobbling him up now? I wouldn't expect anyone offering him the deal he and his agent are looking for. If he can be had on the cheap, I'd sign him. But if someone throws money at him, let them deal with it.

My "Precision Lighting" source tells me, they want McClain back, but there is no hurry, and at a one year minimum contract too. lol

Weird reactions in this thread.

Cool, though, if we end up getting McClain back. I've never been super high on him, but he's definitely an enforcer for us when he's not hurt or retired, assuming he's also not dissatisfied with whatever deal he ends up with. I like the idea of having guys like Hardy and McClain (and even Wilcox and, maybe, Lawrence) on that side of the football. A little bit of that intimidation factor we haven't had all that much of for a while now.

Would match the intimidation factor we have on the other side of the ball with our OL.

Dallas can probably wait until training camp to sign him. I mean there is zero market for him outside of Dallas. I thought he was dynamic at start of last year but totally unreliable toward the end and through his career.

I was unimpressed as the season wore on.

Hitchens outplayed him hands down.
