Fisher is proving to be a hack. 3 days before Hardy was signed, he said he was out.

Fish has decent sources, but he's more into pushing his premium site for $. Been doing this with the Mavs for awhile. Sorta like your local ESPN insider....gives eye catching title and charges for the "info".

I was unimpressed as the season wore on.

Hitchens outplayed him hands down.

With all due respect, where were Hitch's 2 INT's ??... unless you're counting the one rookie mistake that hit him in the back of the head in the playoffs.

Clarence Hill tweeted "Jason Garrett and Stepen Jones said the Cowboys are still in play for Rolando McClain. No progress but they are still in it and want him"

This seems to be contradicting to what Mike Fisher reported.

I'm not surprised though, since Fisher seems to have an issue with McClain overall. When McClain was in training camp, Fisher tried to report that McClain had seemingly walked out on the team and had quit but what actually happened was McClain took a restroom break
.

I guess this is some positive news to those still holding hope for McClain's return.

Not surprised. Fisher is turning into a hack every damn day and is usually wrong on what he's 'reporting'. He also killing the Cowboys with his personal agenda reporting.

The only high maintenance, or pain to deal with stuff I can gather would be when he had to travel back and forth to Alabama, early on with court, and then with his house fire. It's hard to put in a gameplan when your best player isn't there.

I want him back bad! Brinkley will be a solid backup, and the depth will be restored without having to "need" a ILB on draft day. I bet for sure Lee wants this beast next to him next season!

having him back would make this season a lot more fun. McClain, Sean Lee and Hardy would be a tough defense.

Dallas can probably wait until training camp to sign him. I mean there is zero market for him outside of Dallas. I thought he was dynamic at start of last year but totally unreliable toward the end and through his career.
Does he event want to go through all of the off season stuff? A deal probably will not be done until right before training camp like the draft picks

I for one am sad not to have worked a job where one can have one's pay suspended but still get to do the work.

McClain must feel so honored.

He's putting in a call to Chip as we speak. I kid, I hope.

Don't give the idiot coach any ideas....he's probably licking his lips thinking Ro could play lead blocker for 'Marco Murray.

I like it. He was a big part of the improvement on defense last year. If we get him, we're at least four-deep with Brinkley, while we might be deeper than that with our other new acquisitions replacing players like Cam Lawrence and Kyle Wilber, who might get to go back to end to at least see if he can provide depth there.

Fisher has turned into an absolute embarrassment this offseason. He needs to check himself into Twitter rehab.
I agree. I think the pressures of being first or catering to paid subscribers has caused him to deal in innuendo and outright lies. He just threw out what little journalistic integrity he had left out the window for a couple of bucks.

You know if the team is going with a C,D option at RB might as well go with a C,D option at LB right??? I'm refering to the guys that have been brought in and not Lee.

I doubt we'll hear anything on McLain until after the June 1st cuts. Teams aren't as willing to grab up problem guys when other options can be had. He's had health and personal issues and now he's facing a suspension. The man can ball but would you be gobbling him up now? I wouldn't expect anyone offering him the deal he and his agent are looking for. If he can be had on the cheap, I'd sign him. But if someone throws money at him, let them deal with it.

That is a great point. Look at San Fran and what happened to them. They need a tree that grows ILB's right now and his name has not been linked to them from what I have read. RoMac is clearly not high on anyone's list right now except maybe his own.

I think we will draft a running back who will be an A option. If the money is right, you want McClain back because when healthy that gives you an A level players at two levels of the defense. The caveat is "if the money is right." Still the longer he is on the market, the less his price tag should be. Doesn't seem like there are a lot of teams willing to take a risk on him. McClain would be even better this year with a full offseason under his belt.

I agree if the team does not get an A option at both positions they will have failed the offseason imo...this team is to close to think anyone can play either of those positions.

McLain will be playing with Lee, hopefully and Hardy if signed. Do people not understand how much better we look on defense with this guy in the picture?
