if you wear a dark visor, squint your eyes, and get hit really hard in the head, Jerry is not a bad looking guy!!!!!!Jerry could go for a maid.![]()

stop!!!!!!You killed it here. I said the same thing but it took me like 3 to 4 paragraphs. Nice job.
Yeah, stop!!!!!!the more you make him happy, the harder he comes down on me!!!!
I appreciate your comment, but respectfully you're wrong to even state that you have your own opinion of things on this team. You MUST think as others, you must not be your own person or think on your own. You have to think like everyone else that feels strongly about something or risk saying that you're not loyal, a troll, or you're complaining!!!!Yeah,
I'm not what you'd call his fan favorite either. I "try" to give credit to posters here when they have takes that I agree with even when most of the time I may share a differing opinion than theirs.
I do think he and his team do put together the draft intelligence that forms the board.McClay doesn’t do the drafting lol
Never has. Never will.
His job is to tell Jerry “good job”.
But for some reason he still gets credit for all the good picks while Jerry gets the blame for the bad ones.
I'd like to know the answers to this as well.I do think he and his team do put together the draft intelligence that forms the board.
I think a question all of us has is how is it that the draft intelligence on the defensive players has been so bad?
Taco, Mazi, rapper CB we shipped off. These are not a talent issues. They are brain issues. How are we so bad at that?
I guess I would say what are NFL coaches actually good at and what are they hired to do as the primary job?The problem is Jerry takes too much input from his coaches.
Coaches are terrible at evaluating college talent.
I think the “good drafting” is hidden behind safe OLinemen picks.I do think he and his team do put together the draft intelligence that forms the board.

Well I would say that a coach should not be the final arbiter of applicable talent for a team. This can lead to "petcats" being chosen over football "DAWGS".I know I reference him a lot — because he's everywhere — but Broaddus thinks the Mazi pick was made because Dan Quinn was clamoring for him, and I can't disagree.
How do you explain Guyton. I am getting ten cent head vibes from him also.I think the “good drafting” is hidden behind safe OLinemen picks.
OLinemen rarely completely bust like other positions. As long as they’re serviceable they are ignored.
It’s when they have to draft outside of that safe zone that you see just how overrated their drafting is.
Considered by who?Based on?
He is considered one of the best in the league at his position.
He’s not great, but imagine if he was a QB or WR.How do you explain Guyton. I am getting ten cent head vibes from him also.
This is the crux of the problem.McClay is crap
He uses Joneses to avoid blame and they use him for ‘legitimacy’
Both equally bad with no accountability
I know there are ten cent heads on every single team. I just wish the Cowobys had less, and at less critical positions. He’s not great, but imagine if he was a QB or WR.
The Cowboys draft scared.
And even if they accomplish this they will then have to address the offense again. Jerry and co. have no real plan. You cant expect to draft all those rookies and expect to somehow field a good defense. No way. You have to draft defense talent in the 1st and second that are projected starters. You then use Free Agency to add a few more. Teams also know that Dallas needs defense. Even moving up in the draft is going to cost you more because of this. It is going to take a few years to solidify a good defense.
ExactlyYup, nice summary. From just what little surface level exposure of the Cowboy War Room that has been leaked over the years...
I have always come away feeling it's like a mish mash combination of a bunch of group think participants.
Jerry gives the final Gladiator type thumbs up or thumbs down decision just based on which group think participant he personally wants to give a bone.
Like its "his pick" on this round and the other guy gets a turn on the next round. Everybody gets a voice.
Jerry ultimately decides which voice wins for each round.
That's my take on the Dallas War Room.
Every off-season is interesting because I'm usually curious about what the hell they're thinking.this offseason is gonna be interesting. Dallas has to draft what they definitely suck at drafting: Defense
That's why I've said priority one should be to decide on a defensive philosophy with the intent that the philosophy doesn't change regardless of coaches over a number of years. With so many different dcs and philosophical changes youre going to have this problem.
