Are you suggesting stamina is not a huge/essential part of boxing? Especially at that weight class?

Even Risen isn't under some delusion that McGreggor was close to winning. Floyd is the better boxer and it isn't close, McGreggor is better in the cage by an even wider margin, isn't that hard to admit.

I agree that Tyson eventually was exposed.... especially by bigger heavyweights.

But the xfactor was his intimidation and speed and combinations.

People are too quick to dismiss what was... and automatically assume a different era fighter would beat the fighter in question.

If you or anyone thought a non professional "boxer" (in first pro debut)was going to go in an beat a 49-0 fighter.

A 49-0 fighter that only loses on average 2 of 12 rounds in his career.

I am not a big Floyd fan. Not even close.
But I am also not a fan of taking credit away from greatness.

He is the most alert, clear visioned, poised, composed boxer in the history of boxing.

Tyson was a short armed fighter who was destined to have a short time at the top. It was genetics. Nobody was tougher or had better skills.

Mayweather played McGregor from the opening bell. He came out covering up, bobbing and weaving while barely throwing any thing himself for a reason. He stood against the ropes over and over as well.

One that in my opinion is obvious in hindsight. He knew McGregor was going to try to knock him out early and he invited him to throw big huge punches like he does in the octagon, knowing it would help gas him out. 90% of McGregor's shots were hitting gloves and not getting through.

If you really think Mayweather was confused, intimidated or not in control of the fight the whole time, you should switch to watching tennis :D

He would have avoided jail and retired a very famous and wealthy man. Even Rooney was good for him. Not to mention Jim Jacobs. All good boxing people who would have looked after him.

I think Money ended up liking McGregor, got to hand it to him, to talk himself into a 30 million dollar fight with zero boxing experience. I bet you they're sitting around laughing like Bonnie and Clyde after a robbery cause that what it was. lol. They gamed it.

I'll give props to Floyds cardio. Cardio set in and he was fighting a punching bag. His skill was a very small factor.

I liked George Foreman, I forgot who he fought when he came out of retirement to pull in more cheeseburger money, but I p.p.v. that one and was yelling at the t.v. when about 3/4 of the way thru the fight he was losing,and you could tell he was getting pissed and counter flurried and tagged/ stunned whoever it was and had he pressed that attack was gonna knock the ol boy down if not out!
You could tell by the look on his face ol' George didn't want any of that and all that it would entail by being the champ once again,,, he was just in that ring for a paycheck and backed off against the ropes till the other dude recovered,,,:lmao:
( I think it was Buster Douglas:huh: idk? ,I only remember ppv it cuz it was Foreman)

Agreed. But... You are making a great point that is not necessary to even make. It's irrelevant.

Conor at 100% strength with stamina of an energizer bunny going 30-40 rounds vs Floyd STILL doesn't come close to winning.

Was never gonna happen.
