You referred it to a job. I'm just putting it in perspective. If I knew I'd be ceo (superbowl champ) or had a better chance where I was. Money wouldn't matter as much.

There is zero guarantee Dallas will win the SB. Plus the life of an NFL RB is short. Why fault a guy for getting all he can where HE wants to get it?

Thak you. they just don't seem to get it. they think he should just take what Jerry and Stephen offer him. that is not how this business works.

It's pretty obvious Murray and his agent want a bidding war. They thought he was worth more and now they are milking it.

Say your goodbyes.

All of these potential comp picks are going to make for a hell of a draft next year.

It would be interesting to see how Ryan Mathews, making between 2 and 3 million, Darren Sproles, on the books for 4.1 million and Murray, ostensibly with a bigger contract than the other two, fit together and are used. I, for one, am pleased at the restraint that the team has shown in holding the line on contracts, and not falling prey to pangs of loyalty to the players.

That being said, the team has some serious holes to fill - multiple linebackers, pass rush, interior DL help, corner, safety and a special teams jack of all trades to replace Dwayne Harris.

Again, going to Philly is not about the money. If it was he would be headed to CA. There's no way after the petulant child nonsense he has pulled the last couple of days this isn't personal if he does indeed sign there.

Murray wants to play in Dallas, but wants the Cowboys to pay him,,,,It simple, the FO has set a price tag for the RB position and not budging.....Murray knows this and just trying to drum up some offer to make the Cowboys up the anty....High stake game of poker.....Murray overpriced his services and not getting any takers...driving his price down...

Just using the Philly card tells me......I hope the cat don't come back....he will just be ticked off and unhappy that the Cowboys didn't break the bank for him.....Fly away Murray Fly away..Go jump into that Chaotic Mess in Philly.....

What Ranks is he going to move up? This isn't Burger king where you hope to be the manager some day. It's the NFL where he's a starting RB no matter where he signs.

actually your wrong. if Dmurray goes to the eagles and flops behind a crappy line he loses millions in possible endorsments...behind this dallas line he knows he is good, he has another break out year in dallas, coke pepsi gatoraid start calling and he is making way more than that dallas contract... We have seen many successful people go places for hte money to just crash and burn and out of the NFL pretty quickly after a major contract. Peyton Manning made 12 million in endorsements in 2014.

All the guys on NFLNW right now are saying if the offers are remotely close Murray should stay in a Dallas.
They mentioned the dominant line, the chance to win, and the upside to the Cowboy brand.
All good points.

If not Dallas, they said take the max money in Oakland because RBs often only get one chance to cash in.

After all this I hope he signs in Philly and behind that line he sees how good he had it here...meanwhile we sign adrian Peterson and a Dallas cowboy breaks all time rushing record not to mention his team record..

Romos been great, vey few endorsements. A pizza hut spot THIS year is about all I have seen. I'm sure there's more in Dallas. But we don't see them here if there is.

I know if the Eagles don't win next year it's going to go down hill real quick there. Eagle fans eat their young.

I love the Cowboys not rushing to sign him. How fast we forget he was never healthy and the one year he stays healthy he can't hold on to the ball. Our line created some serious space, it wouldn't take an 8 million dollar a year back to hit those holes.

You will defend this guy till the bitter end eh? Lol fair enough.

Not true, but no one but one has answered my question. You would turn down a 20% or better raise, every thing else being equal?
I wouldn't, my family mean more to me than that.

I don't fault him for leaving for more money. I just don't think the decision to leave for Philly of all places is solely about money.

It wouldn't be because They for won't have the highest offer
