Can't find it in the dark?

:D

Low blow!! :D

Actually, that might be Merriman's problem if he doesn't get off the roids.

It was about a half an hour ago. Tomorrow it will be covered at length.

Spin control.

You already said you'd take the roiding Merriman over Ware. Now you've changed your tune.

Convenient.

Bob Dole would take what Merriman did on the field over what Ware did on the field at this point in their careers, whether Merriman was aided by roids or not.

Bob Dole felt the same way at the end of last season, and after the first week of this season, and even yesterday - hell, even today while watching the Chargers-Chiefs game, when most people had no idea Merriman had ever used roids.

If Bob Dole knew ahead of time that Merriman would get caught for roiding, then things would be totally different.

Unfortunately, Bob Dole is not a psychic, and thus cannot tell the future.

Bob Dole would take the PLAYER Merriman was, meaning what he did on the field, over Ware.

Obviously, if Bob Dole knew at the end of last season that Merriman would get suspended for roiding this year, that would not have been the case.

But here's the thing.

If Parcells had taken Merriman, and he got nailed for steroids, my guess is that Bob Dole and a whole lotta of other guys would have been tripping over themselves riding BP for drafting him. For not "doing their homework."

They did their due diligence on this guy. They rightly wondered how he put on 30 poinds before the combine, and considered reports of him beating people up. They got wind that he was going to fire his agent right after the draft and go to the Poston's. THey interviewed him and got an idea of what kind of guy Merriman was.

A guy who might take roids.

MERRIMAN WILL BE TESTED RANDOMLY DOZENS OF TIMES EACH SEASON FOR THE REMAINDER OF HIS CAREER

Even more recently, Miami Dolphins wide receiver David Boston was suspended four games and lost $1.34 million in salary for testing positive for anabolic steroids. Boston, who denies using steroids, will now be subjected to an advanced stage of the NFL's program in which he'll undergo dozens of random tests annually for the remainder of his career.

He's currently holed up at the office, working feverishly on his "Mike Vick is a Football God" piece for tomorrow's SportsCenter.

That is not what you said, you said you would take a roiding merriman over Ware, page 12

Peppers was still suspended, maybe not for roids but if Merriman was busted for a "dietary supplement" the reaction here would be the same.

Bob Dole would still take a roiding Merriman over Ware, most of the league is on something anyway.

By the way, the fact that your entire career will be tainted AND the fact that you'll be tested VERY OFTEN throughout the rest of your career... would be motivation enough for A LOT of players NOT to mess around with steroids.

Well that was an hour ago, and only at the start of his everyone is doing it defense.

This positive test could really change Merriman's career. Now that he knows he will be tested he will have to stay clean. Maybe we will finally get a chance to see what the non-sterioded up version of Merriman can really play like.
