The first thing Cleveland did after trading for him was to restructure his deal, reducing his 2022 cap hit to 5m$; Dallas could have done the same. they traded him because they didn’t want him, not because of money.

Yes they got 1 year figure down the next 2 years is over 23 mill a year. I'm not saying Cooper did not deserve it but Cowboys also must manage their cap. I'm sure there are many players around the NFL that teams would love to keep, why is Von Miller in Buffalo? because Rams did not like him or they understood you can't keep everyone.

Hes still only 28, with 2 years left it’s not unheard of to extend him into his early 30’s. Restructure next year too to bring it down closer to 10m$, then extend him before the deal balloons out of control in the last season. It’s very doable, Dallas just didn’t want to do it.

Von Miller is a very different situation, he was a free agent and was asking for top money at 33 years old.

He failed to grab the offensive kick. He’s apart of the hands team and screwed up. Did you watch the game or box score? Not being funny just wondering.

I watched parts of the game on NFL Redzone and saw the onside kick. The Jets defender got to the ball at exactly the same time as Cooper and knocked the ball away and you’re blaming Cooper for not coming up with it? Lol He hardly had any chance to come up with that ball. If it wasn’t for his 9 catches for 101 yards and a TD the Browns wouldn’t have been in that game. He was targeted 10 times in the game and came up with 9 catches. The only target he didn’t come up with a catch was when he was interfered with in the end zone giving the Browns a first and goal. Can’t believe you’re blaming Cooper for the loss. You don’t like him we get it!

Cooper sat there waiting for the ball to come to him I know you saw that at least.

He cant grasp the facts.

1. If Chubb slides instead of scoring a TD, the browns would just have kneeled and the game would be over.
2. The Browns defense blew a 13 point lead.

He can’t grasp it because he has an agenda against Cooper.

I saw that and I also saw the defender get to the ball at the same exact time it reached Cooper and he was able to knock the ball away from him. Can’t believe anyone would blame Cooper for that. Had the ball reached Cooper first and he bobbled it that would’ve been a different story. That was a great play by the Jets defender.

He still drew double teams freeing up other guys for 1 on 1s. Proof is in the pudding pre Amari and post Amari, but we'll see. However, if you dogging him now you simply have a bias...the guy is a good player.
He's not a Dallas Cowboy anymore, I hope he has his worst season, why should I care? It's history, time to let it go. The constant drooling over Cooper is just used as "ammo" to trash Dak.

Why was Coop sitting there waiting like he’s not allowed to touch it? He has a right to the football at anytime. Universally everyone admits Amari screwed up but I guess everyone making it up.

i don’t think he was perfect and I do think at times his attitude appeared lackadaisical but I don’t think that always means he was and I don’t think he was the only one on the team who had this issue and some of them are still here.

20 million for that?

Fair enough. However, Dak's play tells his story (good or bad) and that's all the ammo any one needs.

Dude he had virtually no chance to recover that ball watch the play! Anyone who’s blaming Cooper has an agenda against him just like you. I’m done with this I’m sure you have a bunch of arguments going with several other fans that should keep you entertained the rest of the day. Lol

They shouldn't have traded him in the first place. They had a choice to try to restructure him and bring down his cap hit. The damaged egos of Jerral and Dak were the reason he's gone, and the offense took a big hit. Not good.

They still was going to have to pay him down the road. Restructuring doesn't erase the money.

He had 9 catches for 101 yards and a TD against the Jets last week. How did he cost them that game? He had a big game against the Steelers last night but according to your narrative he only has big games against crappy teams. Now you’ll try and turn this into a multi day argument that the Steelers are a crappy team. Lol

If I'm not mistaken Cooper whiffed on the onside kick that people think he should have come up with. That's what caused people to blame him for the loss.

Sure. But we don't need every thread turned into a Dak thread. But I get it, X's & O's are harder than trashing the guy.

They had a choice. Instead broadcasting to the entire NFL world he was going to be released if no trade was found was the choice they made.

They didn't, show me 1 quote where they broadcasted it. They went all the way up to the deadline and never said they were releasing him.

I posted the video he didn’t whiff on it. He had virtually no chance to get his hands on the ball because the defender got to it at the same time and knocked it away.

I don't care that he's giving another a former teammate props. The real crime is that Josh Gordon was taken out of the league for smoking a plant.

It turned out that Gordon was doing a lot more than smoking the Ganja. He reportedly had other substance issues.. but his team and the league did a decent job of keeping that on the DL.
