so you wouldn't pack up your bags if Darren Woodson came by and asked you to marry him?

don't lie
It's a non-issue. It's easy for me to sit on the sidelines and lust silently, because he's already married with children.

Outstanding.

All I can say, then, is sleep with one eye open for the rest of your life. It's the quiet, agreeable ones that you should be afraid of the most.

Just ask John Bobbitt.

you assume I step out but I haven't in the almost 20 years I've been with Mrs. CCF. I just don't get all bent out of shape when others do.

I would cover for my friends if they were, be their alibi etc.

Doing what I do for a living, I just no longer get judgmental over sexual issues. To each his/her own.

no I didn't, I stated they would turn a blind eye to him dallying in return for nice stuff, they are not being paid to have intercourse which is the definition of prostitute

they seek financial security for their children, a nice roof etc, that is not prostitution, that might be a good career move, but not prostitution

In other words: they seek money in return for sure sex and companionship.

ask yourself, why do so many wives forgive their husbands stepping out? to keep the family together, financial security etc

We're getting way off point here, but you're generalizing women, which IS the abyss I'm trying to make you step away from.

Many, many, many different factors determined why women ( and men ) do what they do. Not all of them are the same. Some think of the children, some think of financial security ( like you stated ), others " like it ", others DO NOT have any other choice, others don't KNOW any better, others were raised with that custom.

I could be here all night pointing out the different reasons or factors of why people do what they do, but the bottom line is that it's an individual decision that doesn't affect the next person under similar circumstances.

You are the one calling wives prostitutes not me, although I have heard that argument before.

Turning a blind eye to what your spouse does in return for financial security is not the same thing as being paid for intercourse no matter how you try to claim that it is.

Woaa.. that's a whole different bowl of cereal now. I'm far from judgemental except on one thing:

If you agree to get married ( and this goes to pro athletes and celebrities in particular ) and you should obey the rules. If you don't, and get caught, then you should accept the punishment and pay the price without saying a word other than: " I blame myself for being stupid ".

My point is that, if you want to play around, don't get married. Do what Derek Jeter did until recently. He played the field, was up front about it, and had absolutely ZERO reason to give any explanation or be ashamed of it.

However, if you CHOOSE to say " I do " and then break the promise, don't get angry when people get on your case. The only one to blame is YOU for saying " I do " when you knew you weren't ready to play by those rules.

You are assuming that they didn't discuss that issue before marriage and agree that it was ok or have an open marriage. There are no "rules" for marriage.

No, you are the one who did. Saying that women who are married to athletes should accept that the athlete is going to get " some on the road " and in return they get " a nice house, nice clothes and your children get to go to nice schools.. " is nothing more than high paid prostitution. They might as well be a " kept woman " on the side, being readily available everytime Mr. X hits town. They might have ONE client, but it's still the same thing.

You turn athlete marriages into a business transaction, in two sentences.

Not according to you. IF a woman is married to an athlete, she should look the other way in return for " a nice house, clothes, and nice schools for the children "...

I said they do that, not that there is a rule, big difference.

Just saw this on the crawl at the bottom of Sportscenter.

The guy kinda made his own bed with that nonsense in 1996, but man. This woman made accusations when this happened in 2007, the police investigated, found no evidence to back up her claims, refused to pursue charges AND she signed a waiver of prosecution.

So now, 2+ years later she files a lawsuit ? Ridiculous.

Rape is statistically the most under reported crime...

That was wordplay re: statistics (reported statistics) kept on a class of crimes that are, by definition, supposed to be unreported.

Not necessarily, these are "under reported" even by law agencies that don't report at victim's requests. Then you think of the people who never told law enforcement, for the same reason's they tell law enforcement they don't want to prosecute--out of fears.

It's really pretty provable. Using this case as an example, the "victim" signs an affidavit of non-prosecution, stating she doesn't want to testify and also making the DA's case a lot more difficult.

Are you sure he's still married? I saw him in a Dallas Sushi bar happy hour with a few women and I don't recall seeing a ring on his finger

He could have talked to her and been friendly with her and she interrupted as something else and is lying about the entire thing.

Would he have been talking to this lady and making friendly if he'd been with his wife? If he acts differently when she's not around, that's a reflection on his character. If he treated EVERY situation like Sandy was standing next to him, maybe he could avoid these "compromising positions" . . .

I can't believe so many of you here are willing to castrate the man just for being a man.

Right -- remember that if your spouse is ever caught cheating on you . . .
