Pretty sorry isnt it.

I know I will get skewered for saying this but I just dont like the guy. He is a bad guy.

I feel bad for his family, everytime they turn around its something.

Just from knowing somethings about him off the field I cant give him the benefit of the doubt.

I have absolutely no idea why he keeps getting jobs in the media. The guy is a trainwreck.

It will just be something new with him coming around the corner guilty or not.

@Four: you're right -- let's assume Mike is as innocent as a newborn baby.

So this lady just picked him out of a crowded bar, filed a false police report and tried extorting him for no reason?

a) It's happened before to him

b) she didn't fill out any kind of report. On the contrary, she refused to do so.

c) extorting him for money, which is a pretty good " reason ".

If the woman is lying then she should go to prison.

She hasn't broken any laws. At worst, Michael Irvin COULD sue her for liabel.

I'm not going to villify the guy and jump to conclusions on this until all the facts come out.

However, Irvin needs to stay out of trouble. Lock himself up in his house with this family if he has to.

Perhaps he needs to visit the same sex addiction clinic that Tiger Woods is in right now.

Although, so far, it looks like an OBVIOUS case of " gold digging ", not everything has come out yet.

There IS one thing that bothers me a little and that is Michael's silence. When he was falsely accused the first time, he blew up ( rightfully so ) like a nuclear bomb. The now famous words screamed by him, at the time, that I will never forget AND should be a commandment for the media were: " Report with the same intensity. Just remember to report with the same intensity ".

He hasn't come out and said anything yet. Now, that probably IS a smart thing to do and what his lawyers have instructed him to do, and I don't have much of a problem with that. Still, Michael has always been a fiery guy and in the back of my mind, it raises a little bit of a concern.

We'll see.

And when caught, they rightly suffer the consequences; see Tiger putt . . .

Agreed -- so where are all the false reports against Aikman, Emmitt, Darren, DWare, etc.? There's a first time for everything . . .

Aikman, Emmitt, DWare etc don't have the poor rep and bad personal history that Irvin has. If you're gonna make up a false report he's the one you want to target because it's more believable. If DWare were accused of rape how many of us would believe it for a second. With Irvin there is some doubt.

Not saying he did or didn't do it but there aren't enough facts in yet to pass a judgement.

This caused me to pause as well. It's strange that he has basically disappeared since the story broke. Very unlike Irvin to be quiet.

He's one of my favorite players and I liked his show and watching him on the NFL network, its a shame if he's pissed it all away on some fling.

I hate to throw the race card but why is Irvin getting vilified (already fired from the his ESPN radio show) while nothing happened to Big Ben?

What a joke

Seems like a fair point.

The fact that his name is associated w/ this on ESPN's scroll is just devastating to him, his career, and family.

OK ..and...

You seem to be making a lot of assumptions yourself. Why don't you wait and find out what happened first before saying the guy lacks poor judgment. Who knows what happened with this woman. He could have talked to her and been friendly with her and she interrupted as something else and is lying about the entire thing. Let's just wait and find out what happens. And to your point as to why does this only happen to Irvin and not other Cowboys is silly. This stuff happens to athletes/celebrities all the time and in some cases it amounts to nothing. It happened to Roethlisberger, it doesn't necessarily have to be a Cowboy player like you want it to be.

For the record, I just want to be completely clear on this subject:

My brother, the cop, had nothing to do with this investigation. ;)

actually, most of the men on here are more upset than most wives are. many wives are upset but fall back on the boys will be boys view and figure, well I have my family to care for and want to keep them together. Women are nesters and don't like to disturb the nest.

Elin got upset not so much that Eldrick got into someone else's pants but the sheer number and the fact they became public. Did she honestly think when he was on the road he was celibate?

Marry and athlete and they are going to get some on the road, pure and simple. In return, you get a nice house, nice clothes and your children get to go to nice schools.

I can't believe so many of you here are willing to castrate the man just for being a man.

Its just my own person opinion. I've met him and I don't care for him. Tired of hearing about all of his transgressions wether fabricated or true. I think he is just trying to stay relevant like Deion. Don't ever hear of any good things he does for the community compared to say DeMarcus Ware who is becoming one of my all time fave Cowboys.

If she made all of this up then should she serve time in prison for using police and the District Attorney's time and money on a frivolous charge. Also tired of gold diggers. Women need to learn they can not keep on trying this type of crap on pro athletes!
