Mike McCarthy is making new playbook Dak inclusive and friendly

With Dak being given a big say about the new playbook, is that a good or bad idea?

Again I'm only shocked by anyone who thinks this is some "New development".... 32 teams do this and if they have multiple QB's who play they do it for each...shocking. Just replace the "Pretty words" with "Dallas will be doing the same thing every NFL offense does and try and use plays thier QB is comfortable with".....

On Friday Dak stated, on ESPN's First Take, that the old playbook is NOT being thrown out. And that they're just making "small" adjustments/changes.
**** Whatever that means ****

My prediction is the changes will be very subtle and barely noticable, if any.

Just like the playbook was made Romo friendly several times during the changing of O-Coordinators throughout his tenure.

60M cap hit is not doable. Yes, it’s the lesser of two evils for you. Not for the front office. They’re on record many times stating a complete rebuild is not an option. There is too much money that will be lost for tanking a season. Dak would be accounting for 25% of the cap. They wouldn’t be able to construct a competitive roster. There is less than 0 chance that happens.
There's been a ton of money lost already. For many seasons. Another 60 mil? Pssshh....child's play.

It did when he went to the Saints. The examples were of two quarterbacks who eventually rewarded their team’s patience with a Super Bowl.
Then Tom Brady did it in one year. He went to Tampa and won it all his first year.

Point being that wasn't his 2nd year in the league. That was the 2nd year with his 2nd team.

Well, it gives the pundits something to bash Dak. Reality doesn't matter

Love how a narrative is generated over a statement that is said by every QB ever year…. In this case the narrative is “last year it was all Moore’s fault for Dak’s pick 6s, as he was running plays that didn’t take Dak’s skills into consideration”..

Of course when Rush was winning, Dak fans were scurrying for excuses and said all Moore needs to do is run the same offense he is running with Rush…

Then there was the “Dak friendly” when they got rid of Dez…. And so on..

No one, and I mean no one ever, would consider a complete rebuild coming off back to back 12 win seasons and an up and coming top defense. It's just a pathetically terrible decision right now.

So nothing but runs and the most simple and elementary of passing plays?

I’m cool with that.
MM read coaching for dummies while at the all you can eat buffet so now we have QB playbook for dummies offense, the O has been Dak friendly since 2016 and MM hasn’t known it since JJ hired him, same offense for 7 going on 8 not sure what the Dak groupies think is going to change. The hope of the season is limiting good teams to less than 12 points so Dak doesn’t have to think because that’s when it all falls apart, when he thinks with the pressure on. Should be a fun season reading all the excuses again and again.

The focus they are putting on the defense shows how much faith they have in Dak.

They can say what they want to the media and even pay Dak if they want because they can't admit they're wrong, but the moves they make show how they really feel.

They believe he is Trent Dilfer.

Yeah, the Cowboys feel Dak is Trent Dilfer, that's why they are allowing Dak to have a huge say as to what plays to include into the new playbook and which ones not. If a QB sucked as you assume, no organization would allow that QB to have a say in which plays to use or exclude from a playbook.

You buy it don't ya?

You really think Dak is getting more say now that he ever was before? You really believe that don't ya?

You really believe that, in year 8, Dak is finally calling the shots.

Goodness you guys are suckers.

I wish he was Dilfer try more like Tim Tebow as their throwing styles are very similar both using only their upper body to force the ball in there.
