You'd think with all the twittering savants and soothsayers hovering around the team we would have heard about this sooner,,,

Better chance for Jack Crawford or Lavar Edwards to make the team now. With Lawrence, Hardy, Gregory, as well as others, and even Russell. They will just have to step up.
I give it a week to 10 days. Mincey may be committing end of career suicide here. He may still eventually play for a team, but not at the money he is seeking.

Best he plays, proves himself, become a FA, then may not get huge money, but a decent contract to retire on is better than nothing.

If he had played worth a damn before last season he wouldn't be playing on a cheap deal like he is. The one that he agreed to. This is entirely his fault and I have very little sympathy for players that hold out. Owners can't holdout a paycheck when a player underperformed, so he should show up and show out to earn a better contract in the offseason.

He missed a $500k bonus by 11 plays last year. I don't think it would take much to get him in camp what with Dez deal. Unlike others, I think we need him. He led the team in sacks last year and is a very solid defensive lineman.

If Hardy was available from day one, he might be in real trouble of getting traded if one could be had. But overall, they can use him in the rotation. With Gregory only a rook and Lawrence just in year 2, he has real value and he knows it.

But his prospects after this year take a nose dive at any price much higher than he's getting.
Maybe a one year pop...

I love what Mince brought last year, but once the Hardy suspension is up, along with Gregory and Lawrence, he won't be needed very much. Especially at a high price.
