DeGrom was electric. 75 fastballs and all but two over 95 MPH. All the talk was about Kershaw but Degrom stole the show. Good job by David Wright. Hope the kids can go 7 innings every night. The 8th inning is still iffy. Clippard is not getting it done like he was.

Utley is a jerk. He did not start his slide until he was even with the bag. It may be legal but it was dirty as hell. I doubt the team does anything now because the series is so important, but just like Rodger Clemens PED juiced range in the World Series where he thought the broken bat was the ball and threw it at Piazza, they will go after him later. Or in the Clemens scenario, try to go after him. This jerk needs a 100mph upside his ear flap.

Dude, his back was turned. Utley didn't even attempt to slide until well after 2nd base. Not to mention that he was high and wide too. He barrel-rolled into him.......it was a bush league play!

I am sure you felt that Hal McCrae blocking Willie Randolf in to Left Field in teh 1976 playoff was just baseball.

and Joe Torre suspends Utley for two playoff games. I have to say I am surprised. It should have been a double play last night but have to live with this ending. Of course Utley will appeal and hopefully they have the hearing before the game tomorrow. Quick execution. Suck on that Utley.
