We don't need Cespedes anymore after this season. Let him go, he is not worth the money he wants. He has worse plate discipline than Duda(if that is even possible). Always swinging for a 6-run homerun and he will not work the count

Mets are done, our two hitters went cold(ish). Way too many strikeout hitters on this team. I am afraid Matz will get rocked in game 4.

Wright and Cespedes are killing them, I don't expect much from the other players(Flores, TDA, etc).

I am hoping that they can scratch one out in NY

Thor and Matz are bad match-ups for the Royals. They are FB pitchers throwing to a FB hitting team. I knew that long layoff was going to hurt this Mets team

Thor and Matz are bad match-ups for the Royals. They are FB pitchers throwing to a FB hitting team. I knew that long layoff was going to hurt this Mets team

The royals are a contact team.
Mets pitchers staying on and very close to strike zone. They couldn't set up and/or royals hitters wouldn't fall for setups.

The layoff is an excuse.

Game 1.... As crazy as it is to say WAS pivotal.

Mets winning 2 of 3 in citi is very very possible... Not out of the question at all.

Man, I've seen too many playoff/World Series games.
Like the 1996 Yankees the mets have been shell shocked... Now.... You see if this team is ready to "take it"... Or do they fare better next year.

Watching the Mets reminds me of watching the Astros... Solid pitching but a lineup that is full of strikeouts. If the guys are on a hot streak you're A-OK, if not then it's wiff-city.

Well, It is the 3 Ds. DaGrom, DarNaud, and Dapressed. I have confidence in Syndergaard. The Royals are hitting as well as any team I have seen. They do not swing and miss. Who does that? Get out that DH playing baseball and maybe it will be better. I hate Designated Hitter baseball.

For a while there mets pitchers were pitching low scoring games and driving in 2-3 runs THEMSELVES.
I do agree though. No pitchers batting. It's the only sport where there are two sets of rules.

They are a great hitting team. But a lot those hits have been seeing eye hits. Mets just missing catching/fielding them.

Syndegard gives them a great chance.
DeGrom needs another shot in this World Series.
Harvey... I'm not so sure. You see the royals pitch cuerto 9 innings.... No drama... No issues.

The local spin all day was that the Royals were in trouble tonight. Not a lot of faith in the pitching to stand up. Tomorrow however, is another story.

i like the Mets chances tomorrow. Chris young is a journeyman pitcher. Yea he can throw ok but Mets saw him for an extended time on Tuesday. Matz should keep them in the game. I would say both bullpens will be in motion tomorrow night. If the Mets pull it out, getting Harvey back on regular rest will be good. Tomorrow night is huge.
