MM making same excuses 3 years later. Time for him to go!

Looks like Jerry and Stephen may need to fire another scapegoat. How many head coaches pass through before we all realize that never was the real problem?

We're up to seven now since Jimmy, but I'm sure their eighth choice will be the solution.
People want their pound of flesh, doesn't matter if it changes anything, then they playact like things have actually been fixed until the delusion isn't believable anymore and then 3-4 years later they want another pound of flesh.

3 years ago and that playoff loss to SF MM preached that they will address the penalties, 3 years later they still lead the league in penalties. Last playoff loss he talked about playing with urgency on the road, they are now 3-4 with 3 losses by 20 plus points. Today he talks about this gap on the road as if we and more importantly players will now listen when it’s 3 years of the same mistakes. Sure MM’s teams beat bad teams by 30. If the plan is to win a SB we all know it won’t happen with this coach and certainly not this year with having to win 3 straight on the road to get there. If JJ is content with losing in the second round then keep the status quo.
Uhhh, the last few weeks the Zone has been singing his praises and now. , according to the esteemed NFL analyst @snadler , it’s time for a coaching change.

Not even sure who Snuffler is or where this came from but it’s evidence of what’s wrong around here.

I honestly don't know what to do with Big Mike and DQ, seems to me that a loss like this in the playoffs might be the end for both. If they can not get over the hurdle this year, or at least look competitive, a big change most be made.

I'm sensing this kind of game might be in the future for this team in the playoffs again.

How exactly are they improving if they have had the same problems over the last 3 years and nothing has changed? Can’t beat good teams on the road. Cant stop the run. Undisciplined. McCarthy isn’t going to take this team any further.
NO coach will succeed with these players under Jerry's "brilliant" GMing. What's the one thing that's been the same since the last SB appearance? Jerry. Coincidence? Sure.

We need Jerry to hire a coach, give the coach full control, have camp somewhere brutal and not country club atmosphere Oxnard, and someone who is allowed to discipline and bench players as the coach sees fit. No "He earns X dollars, he plays." They need a sound philosophy on both sides of the ball and need to focus on drafting and trading for that. Small, extremely fast players are great against weaker teams but it's dumb to have an entire defense full of them. How do they do against bruiser punch-you-in-the-mouth playoff teams that keep trouncing us? Yeah. We've had 6 head coaches since our last SB appearance (7 if you include Switzer since he only won with Johnson's team.) Please tell us WHO should coach and HOW it will be any different if Jerry continues to run things the way that he has. McCarthy has them undisciplined, yeah, but Garrett wasn't better. Still stupid players making the same stupid mistakes...why? It doesn't seem like coaches are allowed to punish them.

And what has he done without Tom Brady?
I’m not the biggest Dak fan in the world but there is a massive difference between Dak and Mac Jones.

I think you put Dak, Micah, CD,Martin, etc, all the usual suspects under Bilicheck and we win. Belicheck has a swagger about him and he brings confidence from the coaching position. We haven’t had that since Parcells.

JJ is not going to fire MM. If he does, it would be like JJ admitting that he made a mistake in hiring MM in the first place.

Preach it because I've been preaching it for 3 years.

I completely agree. I was watching the game and I was thinking “how is it that an average fan like me can see the same deficiencies in the team for 20 years and our “football guys” can’t”

We’ve been an undisciplined team that can’t stop the run for 20 years. We’ve had bad DT play and bad LBers and safeties. How can I see this but Jerry can’t?

McCarthy is not the problem. The organization is the problem. Gronk said our team is mentally weak. I respectfully disagree with him. Well kind of. Our entire organization is mentally weak and that starts with Jerry. I’ve been a fan since 1975. 48 years now. The last 20 years has been the same song and dance. It sucks and it’s depressing. I don’t know if I can handle another 49er playoff loss. But they’re going to run all over us. I just hope anybody wins the Super Bowl besides the 49ers.

Another near-sighted post about who should go and who should stay. The Cowboys clinched a playoff spot yesterday to make to the playoffs for three years in a row, something we haven’t done since the 90’s. But yeah, ‘fire the coach’

One more win and we’re locked into nothing less than the #5 seed. If the Eagles win tonight, I hope MM goes into load management mode after securing that aforementioned win.

Oh, and the ‘we all know’ comment is nonsense. I don’t know we can’t win a SB with MM. in fact, I’m sure we can, so speak for yourself.

It will never cease to amaze me how fans react to games, both wins and losses. Yeah, we may not win our division, but it will be because we have another top team in the league in the East, not because MM is a hack.

I'm sick and tired of these "chicken little" responses from fans every time the Cowboys have a bad game. You can not beat everyone every time. That's all this is, not the sky falling. The Cowboys are a very talented team that plays better in certain conditions and is unbeatable at home. The Cowboys have a challenge to conquer next week in Miami, proving they can beat a good team on the road. McCarthy is still a great coach and Dak is still a great QB. You "chicken little" people who are in such a panic need to take a chill pill. Our Cowboys are still capable of getting hot in the playoffs and making a deep run. R-E-L-A-X

A fine example of why not to post immediately after a seven beer loss. If you can't win every game, and by a convincing amount, fire the coach.

Gronk on Fox postgame, “the dallas cowboys are a soft team”
Referencing Gronk's opinion is not a convincing arguement.

Just the thought of having to watch him every sunday on pregame makes me glad there are only so many games left.

The cowboys are not going to find a better coach to lead these misfits imo. It’s just going to be a multi-year setback.

This problem predates MM. Did you not watch the playoff game vs the Rams in 2018? Getting a new coach isn't going to change anything

The problem is with the Jones Boys and their country club culture. That's why Parcells said "Once I am gone, you won't even know I was here".

Saw him say this and most in panel agreed

https://www.yahoo.com/news/rob-gronkowski-calls-dallas-cowboys-011943685.html

“When you’re a team and you can’t go on the road and win a big game in a hostile environment with weather that isn’t on, you know, on your side, isn’t in your favor it means you’re not mentally tough and the Dallas Cowboys are not a mentally tough football team, that being said it has been shown last year in the playoffs, It has been shown the year before in the playoffs,” said Gronkowski.
Players know. He’s just saying what the whole league already knows. This team folds like a cheap chair when hit in the mouth.

The culture is the issue. I'm not the biggest bill belicheck fan but I think he would change it for the better here. It's like a pool that turns green. This culture needs a massive shock to it's system to course correct. Mouthy and undisciplined. You can't lead the league in penalties and expect to win in the playoffs or on the road against good teams.
