Lol

Lol Yes. We have 3 ss types and we use a 1st round to get another one.

Mayock has the Steelers taking Cedric Jones and the Ravens taking another CB before we even get a sniff. None of this will go how they think it will.

Cowboys don’t intend to pick up option on their 2012 first-round pick CB Morris Claiborne

The Cowboys have no intention of exercising the option for a fifth season on Morris Claiborne’s contract, but no official announcement is expected until after the draft, a source said.

In recent days, 15 players have had their options picked up by clubs that selected them in the first round of the 2012 draft. Claiborne isn’t among them and the source said he’s “not a priority’’ at the moment as the club focuses on the draft.

Good.

Yet another bad decision by Jerry and his son. the big problem with Mo has been his heath. he will go some where else after this year and be a hell of a player if he has good health. this move will come back and bite Jerry and his son. and remember i told you guys this.

Wouldn't the price have been really high for that 4th year anyway?
Plus, I was thinking they had awhile to make that decision in the first place.

You can say that again.

Right now I'm just hoping Claiborne can get all the injuries behind him and play to this ability. It was not just Jerry raving on him there many others

Mayock's take: "One of the main reasons I think the Dallas Cowboys haven't been to a Super Bowl in some time is because of their secondary. Morris Claiborne is a special corner. He's got the best ball skills of any corner coming out in the last several years. This is a rare athlete."

I'm not banking on a turn around by Claiborne, as far as I am concern he has been one of the biggest disappointments the Cowboys have drafted but I still think this kid has talent and if he can get healthy just maybe he can get out there and make some plays and rebuild his confidence that he has sorely been lacking.

This is an obvious move, but it doesn't mean that we won't keep Claiborne after this season. If he turns things around, we could always extend his contract. All this means is that there's no way we think he's worth an $11.082 million salary for 2016 right now, especially when it's guaranteed for injury.

Drafting a cornerback was not a bad idea at the time, but the on the field production is what determines a good or bad pick. With Claiborne the stats speak for themselves.

I agree. Right now there is no other way to look at Claiborne but as a bust. It all falls to him to get his career turned around and start living up to the talent he has.

I think he was a terrible pick at the time. He never fit our scheme. Part of the problem, with Mo IMO, is that he needs to be playing in a scheme that uses his size to play more press. I never thought he would be a guy who excelled in zone. If he went to a team who used him right, allowed him to be physical at the LOS and played that scheme, I think he would be much better. That's not us and I don't see it being us in the near future.
