Dez for sure. He's also a diva who will be broke within 5 years after retiring.

is he quick twitch? could he have played on tampa's line in 98?

We don't need size at defensive tackle rod marinelli is going to teach our quick twitch guys the swim move.

you know like he did in detroit.

Hey, his Detroit team accomplished something no team ever had in the history of the league.

I didn't expect much in the run game unless we punished them with the deep pass because the G-Men stacked 8 or 9 in the box. I didn't have a problem with the one 'drop' by Dez in the end zone. It wasn't good pass and he didn't really drop it...just didn't have control of it when he went out of bounds.

What we did see was the same offensive playcalling where we used Witten on screen passes and we didn't see to want to take advantage of the Giants stacking the box.

I wasn't too upset with today's playcalling.. I've seen much worse from this staff.

On tv I couldn't really tell what the giants were doing with their safeties. So if they really had 8 in the box and we didn't expose that then we got problems.

Dallas is the only team I've seen that every play we make is somehow contested and it's just us winning our 1 on 1... Meanwhile... You watch other games and players get WIDE OPEN through nothing but pure scheme.

He's not quick twitch at all! He just clogs the running lanes. Something none of our quick twitch guys could do.

Our d tackles weren't twitching quick enough to tackle Vereen and Jennings.

Yep, we got gashed by a journeyman RB and one that is merely average. Just shows you how much we need help.

Using short flares and screens to Witten is inexcusable at this point.

Garrett's M.O. is to try Dez at the X and if it's not working...oh well, just keep him there. With the G-Men stacking the box, but not blitzing...a mis-direction play or a flea flicker works well. But, we won't do that.

We saw the Patriots with Garappalo...who looked horrendous...use good playcalling to free up their run game and get enough points to win on the road against a good Arizona team.

The Garrett era is about whether or not other teams can take away the deep pass play. When they have...up until 2014 we didn't have the gumption to run the ball. And even now we have shown that we don't have the ability to keep hitting those short and intermediate throws to put points on the board.

Easily Dez. They had 8-9 in the box to stop our running game. Then they exploited Free like a good defense should. But Dez? 1 catch for 8 yards? I've seen this too much from him. 1 catch for 8 yards doesn't happen to Julio Jones, OBJ, Fitzgerald, Amari Cooper, Antonio Brown, AJ Green or other truly elite receivers. I'm disappointed that after all these years he still can only run 2 routes: slant and jump ball. Pathetic.

The only place I see or hear about Dez or the offensive line being overrated is at Cowboyszone.

What's funny is I posted about the issues with our preseason playcalling....where our guys always have to be better one on one and other teams run their schemes. We rarely ever put our guys in a good position by scheme. It's why Romo has to be a gunslinger all the time. Other teams run rub routes and picks all day long and never get called. We don't even try.

I wasn't even too upset with the staff today but posts like this are bringing out my hate YR.

My expectations for them are low... We used some misdirection today... It's a start...

We are wasting Dez Bryants career. The guy is a phenom and we just let teams take him away and now I gotta read posts from our own fan base calling him overrated simply because we suck at using him.

Look at the TD by 1 legged Victor Cruz. Pick play.

25 Million in dead money to cut or trade.

No cap hit for Jerry to hire a professional boxer to stand on the sideline and punch Dez in the face when he does stupid stuff.
Thank you, is that for Romo and Bryant or just Bryant

Turned on the Cardinals game and I'm just watching Fitzgerald catch everything thrown at him like the ball is glued to his hands. And he can get open even when everyone in the stadium knows he's gonna get the ball.

This team is just perennial underachieving and it's JG's fault. We don't put our best players in the best scenario for success.

Inexplicably, we bring in Thornton, a thick body run stuffer.....and then have him drop 20 lbs to be quicker.

The offensive line wasn't so bad that Morris couldn't average 5 yards a carry...
Garret put a stop to that immediately. Get that production out of the game and on the sidelines. That's what separates Garret from other coaches and that is what separates the Dallas Cowboys from winning franchises.

It's days like these when you realize we have some of the most passionate but sincerely dumb fans in all of sports.

In 2014, Dez goes for 88 catches, 1,300+ yards and 16 TDs and our fans kneeled at his alter.

In 2015, he jacks up his foot in Week 1 with the same injury that put fellow wideout Julio Jones out for the season. In fact, Julio Jones and Roddy White both commented that they had doubts Dez would be able to come back the same season because of the injury. Yet, Dez tries to come back to help the team, but is obviously hobbled. Not to mention, when he does come back he's paired with Matt Cassel.

The thing is, these fans know all of this, but they still knowingly ignore it and now Dez has suddenly become the "most overrated" player, stealing checks, a bum, et cetera.

Break out the Ban Hammer.

The o-line was well below average and Dez was invisible.

You can add Zeke to that. He did nothing special.

So what's he common denominator? JG and OC. Dez on teams with good OC would be unstoppable. Our running scheme is horrid and makes our OL and running backs look bad.
