Good morning, Pops. To everyone else still here with us, have a great weekend. One of my fellow Cowboy fans is having his college graduation party today. What makes it special is that he is 43 yrs old. He kept plugging along, never quit, and never took any loans. I'm happy for him.

This quote comes back to me today. Have another good friend who just lost his 28 year old Son to Cancer. He lost his Wife 5 years ago to the same disease. He will need all the prayers he can get right now. If it is your custom, please send one his way.

Today is the little one's day for his favorite omelette house and a root beer when I pick him up from school. I miss him so much during the week, it's so tough sometimes, even tho we FaceTime every night and go over his homework together.

7 days without any alcohol! Everyone have a blessed and safe day, today.

Like Leon, I feel your pain Trouty. I have to admit, I usually only go to Costco if I need to buy something needed. In truth, I hate shopping so my Wife does most of this. However, I did ask her once, at a family function, why we always seem to spend so much money there? All but one of the kids is out of the house now and in truth, I expected the bill to go down but it didn't. Turns out, my Wife still buys stuff for the kids and then they just take it home. I asked her, what's the point of getting the kids out of the house if all you are going to do is spend too much money on stuff we continue to buy for them. Can't afford that! She looked at me, very matter of fact like, and said: "Well Honey, that's what you are here for......"

Doh!!......

@Trouty are you in a recovery phase? Sorry if the question is too personal. But, if you are, just know that you will get a lot of moral support from this camp.

ABQ -- happy wife, happy life!!

Leon -- I'm in a recovery phase, but without the groups. My son was starting to notice it, and he's little still, so that was the deal breaker. He called me a "beer-aholic" in jest, and I laughed with him, but I knew then it had to stop. I was drinking every day. When I first got out of the Army (only two months from redeployment from Iraq), I was a big time alcoholic, drinking a 5th of whatever hard booze a day. And working for Northrop Grumman at the same time as a defense contractor. That, and with issues from war, eventually crumbled me and my marriage, tho she stuck around for 4 more years hoping. In that time I did several VA rehabs, so I'm using the tools I learned then, now. I was sober for 4 years before this last stint.

Anyways, enough of the sad stuff, everyone have a blessed and safe Saturday. Taking the little one to our favorite hotdog place here in North Hollywood (Vicious Dogs)
