Afternoon Pops and friends. I'm in a funk for some reason. I forgot that I hadn't posted here yet. Just an unusual day. I think I'll leave it at that.
Morning Pops and pleasant people. It's Tuesday morning, and a balmy 36 degrees, which is so much better than the 10° and 9° mornings I'll be seeing the morning of andf after TDay. Supposed to have a high of 20° on Thursday.....Kill me now....then have a pleasant day.
If'n you're wanting to be murdered, you're going to have to come South and really tick me off. With sufficient offence or a Cowboys loss, I could be obliging but only because I care.
Good morning Pops and fellow weasels. Ahh yes, an oldie but a goody.

This is a short work week for those still supporting the American Way with worthwhile endeavors while old geezers like me try to suck it dry. It is a nice balance and I truly appreciate your efforts to keep the Social Security system healthy allowing me to still reach the top shelf at the liquor store.
Don't think we're going to get the warm fuzzies over being taxed no matter how glamorous you make it sound.

Its a sad part of life but at least we had them for so long. I e got several friends who don’t even have parents left and I can’t imagine
This breaks my heart you guys... Now just north of 50 myself I miss all my grandparents... still a lot of questions I need to have answers to... and dad's been gone since '08 :(. Holidays are tough even still, but holding tight to mom and cherishing the time and memories we've had and whatever times we have to come.

Morning Pops and a special Hump Day Thanksgiving Eve to all y'all. Back in my yute, this was a special night when returning home for Thanksgiving and getting together with all of the old gang that split up after high school and college. It was like a Friday night all over again except most were married and didn't have to wonder if they were going to play slap and tickle when they got home, they knew they weren't so to hell with being on our best behavior.

Morning Pops and friends. Unlike Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, I was pulled out of deep sleep via dog fart. Do you think Disney would like to do a movie about me? I didn't think so. Have a good Wednesday everyone.
LMAO, thanks, I needed that.

The holidays are the most stressful times of the year for some people and some slip even deeper into depression. Too many damned TV ads with Norman Rockwell families as the goal to achieve.

Family loss increases the desire to just get through it to the other side but this year will be a little different. I want to try and help by bud get through his first Thanksgiving and Christmas without his wife. I think that will help me get through another without mine or my parents. Lost my Mom in 16 and I miss helping her get through it without my Dad and her helping me get through it without my wife.

Gramma, if I had it to do over, I would have worked harder to increase those great memories while I still had my Mom. They were good but could have been better. It's a shame the holidays don't come with a warning that this will be the last one with a loved one so we can make it better for both of us.

Agree 100%. Lost my guy in early '16. Amazing how quiet everything gets and what an adjustment it is to just being there, and feeling like you just aren't living a full life.

Enough ho-humming from me tho. I'm still working through some of those emotional sneak attacks but I do wish you and your friend the best and hope you both are able to find special meaning and memories as you work through the holidays. Chin up...

Thanks but I'm a vet of this now and know when the melancholy comes to visit, it doesn't stay long. One of the benefits of having attention problems. I can't stay anything for very long.
