Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to any and all how decide to stop by and check out his thread.

Been absent with no doctors note so my apologies folks. I am well Leon, sorry for leaving you on your own here.

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John and Gramma, I hope everybody is doing well, having a great week.

Everybody, hump day is half way done. That's the good news. Bad news is we have half way to go. Be well everybody!
Hell, Leon, Gramma, Runny and myself have all the doctors' notes covered.

And I can always pull my shrink's note "This man should not be allowed out without supervision". Hrmph, what does he know? So, I got a second opinion and my optometrist thinks I am just fine.

Well, you know what they say Coach. "Your average Ruskie doesn't take a dump without a decent optometrist."

Afternoon Pops and friends. Laurel and Hardy were good ones, Leon. Sorry to hear your sick, John. Moving is one of the most stressful things we go through. Watching the Cowboys get eliminated from the play offs is another one.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. I have a follow up appt. this morning with the eye surgeon to see how the retina is doing. The gas bubble has dissipated a lot and should be completely gone in a couple more days. I hope every one of you has a nice day. I look forward to seeing all your posts every day.

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas and good morning to all who decide to stop in and visit today.

I swear, this damn cough and sinus thing is hanging in like tick on a hound. Will not die!

Coach says he can get me a Doctors note, I'm not sure if I should trust this or not. When I was in HS, me and four of my buddies once got caught for giving out Dr's. notes to students to cut days. My Buddy's Dad was a Doctor and he figured that you couldn't read his writing anyway so we were selling them for like 5 bucks a piece and then using that money to throw Keggers on the weekend. It was a nice little business venture, while it lasted but it didn't last and there was hell to pay so I don't know?

Jobs, Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John and Gramma, we are on Thursday! That's meant to be good news BTW.

Take good care everybody!

A wise choice, my friend. I played doctor so much at a young age, I think that entitles me to write notes. I built my exam table out of an Erector set.

Afternoon Pops and friends. It's 47 outside with a real feel of inhospitably cold. Best wishes for your eye, Leon. You're the one having to go through it while the rest of us swoon at the thought. ABQ! You know you'd be on the national news these days for a stunt like that. Momma isn't going to be happy to hear I've been hanging out with hooligans in Cowboys Zone.

Oh yeah. Heck, I would suspect that half of all of the folks, over the age of 40, would be in serious trouble if we were held to todays standards. Heck, we got ourselves in a pretty good deal of trouble back then, and not just with the School. Our parents all got together and we ended up having to go to the Doc's church. From there, we got formed into a work force. For a year, we had to perform tasks that the Father would set up a schedule for, on a weekly basis. We all had to volunteer hours, weekly. Didn't matter if we had practice, work, school, didn't matter. Find time to get it done and our parents didn't care if that meant 24 hours straight. Was a good lesson for all of us. It taught me not to allow Coach to lead me astray again!

Oh heck, you didn't say Coach was involved. It's a miracle you lived to tell the tale.

LOL.... No, no. He was not involved with that original ordeal. He was just involved with this latest suggestion, to provide me with Doctor's notes for my absence. Luck for me, I had the experience of the story I relayed to you earlier, to keep me on the straight and narrow. No, no, Coach gets in enough trouble on his own, without me aiding him in this those areas.

;)

LMAO, reminds me of what my Dad said and he was looking me straight in the eyes and being dead honest. It was my 25th birthday and he put his hands on my shoulders and said "Son, congratulations, your Mom and I often were afraid you wouldn't make it to 25" and hugged me. I kind of laughed but that stuck in me for a long time.

I echo ABQ, I look back on some of the things I did and am lucky to be alive. I married young, 20, to give another woman a chance to raise me and we had two sons and she'd remark often she raised 3 boys and she wasn't kidding. I look at all those wasted years of immaturity and self-indulgence and just wonder what I might have accomplished had I not been so selfish and stupid. Hell, I hear people complain about today's young people and just laugh, I am just an older model of them.

My older son told me not long ago that I give good advice and that made me feel really great but I told him that the only reason I can give good advice is from not following it when it was first given to me. Well intended people with my best interest at heart sure seemed to get a lot smarter as I aged.

Hector wrote me the other day. He's hoping you get him arrested or shot.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. TGIF! The eye doc said the retina is still attached and looking good. I will continue to have to have shots in the eye to treat the wet AMD I have in that same eye. That may never go away. This week has just flown by! I guess it's true that the older you get, the faster time goes. It's better than the alternative though. Have a great day, Y'all.

Good news Leon, my Mom had to have that and one eye had already gone wet and she stressed over the dry one all the time and had the shots. You seem is good spirits about this, better than I would be, and should be commended for that. Or committed, letting people poke you in the eye like that. Seriously, great attitude, you inspire me.
