Morning pops, ladies, gentlemen and esteemed colleagues...Happy Friday to all.
Been awhile since I've navigated toward this wonderful thread, but here nonetheless.

Off-season is upon us. I for one enjoyed this season and was thoroughly entertained. I actually am optimistic and looking forward to seeing more improvements.

I got my eye on Harper the next couple of days. We in Western NY are constantly told "No, really...THIS is going to be a monster winter storm." So we'll see what it brings.
G, bout time you wandered back through these parts to visit with us.

Man, I am with you, really a fun season with the turnaround and not actually needing the last game to clinch the East. But, you cannot tell that from the malaise infecting the gen pop. If I had the expectations that some seem to have, I'd give it up. Given up for dead after 8 and to end it 11-7 with a playoff win should make most happy. But I see as much, if not more, negative out there than at 3-5.

You need to spend more time in the Fun Zones with your sense of humor, you stay out there in gen pop, it's like seeing the monsters in Bird Box, you'll slit your wrists.

Brother, those winter storm warnings are like the tornado watches and warnings I've been through in TX and OK...……. until it arrived one night. People in Galveston and New Orleans used to take those warnings lightly and have Hurricane parties until it wasn't fun any longer.

It was a remarkable season. Starting at 3-5, no WRs, TEs and all of the coaching changes? Unreal we took the division.
I'll be around here more often, that's for sure.
It's true we get pounded by snow storms and they shouldn't be taken lightly, I survived a 4 1/2 ' snow drop and still wouldn't put that up there with a twister. Those things are straight up scary. We have one or two here every so often, but small in comparison. It's funny because when folks here in the North East get panicky about a snow storm I typically comment with "Get in the basement!"

I do get a kick out of the driving in snow. The south shuts down with a 1/4" and rightfully so, you're just not equipped. And here if we get a foot or so, we purposely drive in it.

Good afternoon Pops and friends. You are right Street, the south is not prepared for snow. I used to work with a lot of people from up north and they laughed at us. The city shut down when the roads froze over. We all still hope the storms aren't too bad on you and everyone else up there. Be safe and have a good Friday everyone.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Welcome to the Weekend! I love my early morning hour of solitude where I'm the only one up; except for the cats of course. Just me and my coffee and daydreams. Life is good. I played nine holes of golf yesterday. It's awfully tough with one eye distorted, but I really enjoyed getting back out there. Have a great weekend, Y'all.

Afternoon Pops, friends and Popeye. Hey Leon, do you have a different math for golfing with one eye? :D We're all in a similar boat, strollinruss. Who do I root for? I know I'll change my mind 50 times over the course of one game. Since the Rams beat us and we beat the Saints, I figure it bodes well for us if the Saints win. We whooped them already, so it looks good on us. BUT if the Saints win, I have to deal with Saints fans so I'll root for the Rams. I don't want the Rams to win. I don't want the Saints to win either. I'm not nearly as stressed as when the Cowboys were in it, but it's not an ideal outcome either way. Do I want Brady or Mahomes? That's a whole other head conversation. It's colder than Cooter Brown outside and I'm in Louisiana, so I know it's cold in Arkansas and there's a bunch of states above that. Stay warm and may you enjoy the games tomorrow.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. It's 28F outside right now and somebody turned our thermostat down to 45F last night. Brrrrr. I know a lot of you have colder temps all the time but the cold seems to chill my bones really quickly. Xelda, I count the same way but I had to use both hands to count on some holes. LOL. Par for 9 holes is 36; I shot 47 and the fairways look like hogs have been rooting in them after all the chunks of turf I dug up.

Have a blessed day, folks.

When I played, never had that problem with the fairway, they should have paid me for trimming the rough though. "Hey, Daddy, does that man have a golf club or a scythe behind our fence"?

Good morning Pops and those fellow members having a problem getting fired up about the games today. Except for wanting Brady and Belichick out of it, I just don't give two hoots. And if they're in it, I am out. This is like watching a movie and the villain ends up winning every time, oh justice, why do you hide yourself from me? See what happens? I start writing stuff like that.

I have gone though my method of elimination to arrive at my desired matchup and winner. NE is out. That is a period at the end of that. So that leaves KC and I am not a Reid fan but it is the lesser of two evils and they don't come any eviler than those two. I am not really a Payton fan and Brees whole act for the cameras with his kids after setting the passing record was nauseating. What a poser. So, that leaves the Rams and I actually like McVay and I feel for Wade because the man has been defending his record as a HC beginning with his firing after his first one. There's something that saddens me to see the son of a famous coach do this because I know that's not for us.

So, I want a KC-LA Shootout II and maybe that will get the juices flowing because I miss the old me watching the old me watching football. I will, however, have to work at avoiding all of the hype, my least favorite thing about all of this. It is, after all, just another football game...…...with a waste of time halftime.

Happy Sunday to you, may you working folks stretch this one out.

Morning Coach and friends. I may not be fully awake yet because I don't have anything to say about the impending games. I did see Brees with his boys after the passing record and wondered why his wife and daughter weren't part of that celebration. None of the kids understood what was going on, but at least he could have shared the moment with his wife. Although I'm sure she enjoys his paychecks more than that record. There I go, I should have stayed quiet and feigned drowsiness. Saints fans will be as miserable as fans from the last team that won. I'll have to hear about our Super Bowls on VCR tape. I don't want to do that! Come on Rams, please don't make me suffer the next three years. Well, I've talked myself into a hole of rooting for the Rams. I'll put my Romo jersey on and yell "KILL, KILL" at the tv.

Have a good day everyone.

Hey Sweet Pea, I agree with you on the Saints fans as they crossed over from sympathy to annoying at some point. I do like their home games and this one will be over the top with the costuming but the ones I know personally, when they're around I long for the bag over the head days. Please, be either drunk or obnoxious, both is overkill.

This game is a lot more important to the people in LA than the other LA. I will be interested to see the TV ratings from LA with a nice day on tap out there. I still don't think they give a damn about having a team, let alone two.

Off season, thou art a bitterly cruel and hateful old heathen. I watched part of the previews of the Rams and my eyes lit up like a My Little Pony at a cotton candy festival when they showed Rams vs Cowboys. Dog gone, we're purty! Is there like some secret ultra white used in our jerseys? I've heard of purple eye drops used on movie sets to make stars eyes whiter. It was sort of freaky when I caught one shot in Clueless where both actors on set had just received the drops and their eye whites were purple. I digress, our white jerseys are pristine except where blood or grass stains are. Then there's the utter sheen of the silver helmets almost like haloes going back and forth across my TV screen. It's gonna be a long off season. :(

I agree with you, Coach. Saints fans were the best when they wore the paper bags over their heads. Drunk and obnoxious is too much to deal with. Cowboy fans dodged a bullet in this area today. I figure I can just get Saints fans cranked up on the missed pass interference call. It's going to take YEARS to recover from this. I'll let you know how many when I finally get over the "not a catch" crap. I'm not there yet.

Morning, Pops and pen pals. Today is Martin Luther King day. It's going to be fairly warm later today with a high of 60 at about 3 o'clock. The games yesterday were exciting, but the refs dictated the outcome of the Saints/Rams game. Have a great day, everyone.

Morning Pops and fellow boycotters of the SB. I started the movement yesterday and Harry Connick Jr. found out and joined in. I had a feeling he was reading my stuff and now have proof.

Actually, if you will recall, I had already said I wasn't watching if NE was in it. I didn't watch the one with SEA or PHL last year either because I know somehow, they're going to win just like they did against ATL. And I couldn't pull for either team in the last one. I was on the phone with one of my buds, fellow B&B dislike, when they were up by 25 and he was hootin' and hollerin' because he's from ATL and I warned him this is NE, the Devil's team.

So, the season ended for me on Sunday and I am fine with that. The over hype of a football game gets ridiculous and I believe ex Cowboy and pissed off person, Duane Thomas, said it best when asked how it felt to be playing in the ultimate game, "if this is the ultimate game, why are they playing it again next year"?

Evening Pops and friends. Day 11 of post season and the natives are restless. Must be time to start back on all those projects I ignored in favor of watching football. I'm pretty sure I can find something on YouTube before I do that though. Have a good evening all!

Morning, Pops and pen pals. I've got my 5 yr old grandson hooked on Laurel and Hardy movies. I have recorded a bunch of them off of TCM and he asks me to turn one on and he sits there and laughs his little butt off. Have a golf game at 1:00 this afternoon. Hopefully it isn't too windy. Have a great day, everyone.

Where are you, @ABQCOWBOY and @jobberone , are you okay?
