1977 - "Hotel California" earned a gold record for the Eagles.(Bobster better be ok with this or I'm gonna have to twist his nose until it looks liek a cork screw)
1984 - South African prisoner Nelson Mandela saw his wife for the first time in 22 years (which reminds me of a Henny Yougman joke, "People ask me all the time, 'How is it that you and your wife are still married after all these years?' I tell them, 'It's simple. We go out to dinner six times a week. She goes out M/W/F, I go out T/Th/Sat"
I can see where they checked out ---just can't remember them leaving----One of the greatest bands of all times --far better then the 4 that are not mentioned

Well howdy doooooo.....we finally agree about something musical.
That was one VERY underrated band.
They could sing like birds...harmonies that were just extraordinary.
And when Felder and Joe Walsh joined up, they could rock with any band as well.
I don't know of any band that has that combination. And I'd have no problem calling them the best vocal band ever.
