We hosted a "cul-de-sac cookout" at our house yesterday to welcome some new neighbors who moved in at the end of May. Had about 20 people there and everyone had a ball. I had everything set up in the backyard and on the back porch, but when the temp reaced 102 I moved everything inside. Good thing because it rose to 108.

Did you ever know a guy that lived in Granbury named Wil Gragert?

Beautiful morning here in Albuquerque. I am sitting here watching the Sun come up over the Sandia Mountains. The sky over the mountains was a beautiful watermelon red and purple/lavender. To the West, it lit up like gold. Was truly beautiful this morning. Going to church in just a bit. Think I'll be thankful for the Sun Rise today.

Everybody, please have a great day.

No. I've only lived in Granbury for about 18 months. I was born 80-100 miles from here, raised in California, retired in Hawaii and then came home to Texas.

Morning Pops,Leon, and all followers. A belated congrats Krystie on your anniversary.
Off to Asheville this morning for a small install job, then back over the mountain to home. I do like going there. It's a neat town; I call it "Austin East"!

I refuse too and you can't make me

Morning Pops. Morning to all the regulars and to any who might stop in to check things out.

Well, it's Monday. Didn't want to come to work today but gotta get it done.

Everybody, have a great Monday and a great week.

:)

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. I've been busy, hence the MIA on this thread. We went to a very long parade on Saturday and finished off our parade season in style. Weird thing was that it rained the whole 150 km (90 miles) it took to get there, but it stopped just as the parade was about to start.

When we returned home, I had to have a power nap for the neighbour's "Crocquet Party" in the evening. This was basically a barbeque with "full contact crocquet" thrown in. We ate a lot and I drank very little, as I just can't get past two beers anymore. Sadly, Sarge, no PBR made an appearance.

Before I could exit gracefully in the late evening, I was dragooned into hauling out the drum to accompany the Bagpipers who were providing wild music to dance to. (Note: I did NOT put on the kilt for this) It's weird to see a bunch of local rednecks attempt Highland Dancing:eek: )

We were convinced to have a parade down the block (Good thing most of the neighbours were at the party) and I managed to detour back to my house right after the parade. The pipers were college girls who played on into the wee hours. They had way more energy than I did, but were grateful for the snare drum to play with.

I must have paced myself well enough, as I was able to play golf with the Mrs on Sunday. (Discussing my score is forbidden on CZ) I am struggling to get focused on work, but when I'm done this, I'll make an attempt.;)

Bob and Leon, I'lll try again with the cooler weather. I can't remember a year where everything is so green here. Leon, you may want to call your friends in Calgary to come up and cool off. Take care, everyone, stay out of the sun and cool off. Most of all, everybody have a great day.:D

Morning Pops. Morning Fellas, Kristie. Looking forward to the golf recap Phil.

Hope everyone has themselves a good Monday.

Hey Sarge --there is free PBR under Yeags bed ----but you will have to turn it over to get to it:D

Morning Pops, bob and a good Tuesday morning to all.

bob, I wouldn't go NEAR Yeags' bed. I don't like the smell of rotten baloney ;)

You folks have a great day ahead! :)

:starspin

Morning Cbz. Morning Sarge and all the rest of the gang as well. Enjoy your day folks.
