Good morning, Cbz and good morning, Zoners. I've been busy, hence the MIA on this thread. We went to a very long parade on Saturday and finished off our parade season in style. Weird thing was that it rained the whole 150 km (90 miles) it took to get there, but it stopped just as the parade was about to start.
When we returned home, I had to have a power nap for the neighbour's "Crocquet Party" in the evening. This was basically a barbeque with "full contact crocquet" thrown in. We ate a lot and I drank very little, as I just can't get past two beers anymore. Sadly, Sarge, no PBR made an appearance.
Before I could exit gracefully in the late evening, I was dragooned into hauling out the drum to accompany the Bagpipers who were providing wild music to dance to. (Note: I did NOT put on the kilt for this) It's weird to see a bunch of local rednecks attempt Highland Dancing

)
We were convinced to have a parade down the block (Good thing most of the neighbours were at the party) and I managed to detour back to my house right after the parade. The pipers were college girls who played on into the wee hours. They had way more energy than I did, but were grateful for the snare drum to play with.
I must have paced myself well enough, as I was able to play golf with the Mrs on Sunday. (Discussing my score is forbidden on CZ) I am struggling to get focused on work, but when I'm done this, I'll make an attempt.
Bob and Leon, I'lll try again with the cooler weather. I can't remember a year where everything is so green here. Leon, you may want to call your friends in Calgary to come up and cool off. Take care, everyone, stay out of the sun and cool off. Most of all, everybody have a great day.
