ksk, I think what your sayin is, one guy can't hold the team...ie the defense hostage like this. That's not how you win. That's my take.
If he and his agent is allowed to do this then all of them will. Lol. Imagine what Elliot will do. At some point they need to make a example of a high profile player and cut them loose. It maybe D-Law.

At this point id take a 3rd to get rid of his cap hit, hes damaged goods and will miss a portion of the season.

I'm starting to question his love of the game. Does he love the money more? or the game? MAYBE its the money....My hope is,its just terrible advice from an agent.

Of dak, cooper, tank, zeke, im out on tank. Signing all of them we will be so cap strapped. Cutting loose on the least durable and oldest would be my route, and best guess as to hoe this team has been built recently.

he needs to fire the agent btw
It is a slippery slope he has Lawrence on with most mad at him but it is within the rules as set forth by the CBA. Lawrence is in that area where few get but the injury needed attention exacerbate the entire situation. And I do blame Lawrence for making it look like he's using that as leverage, that is not going to sit well with the fans.

He's is danger of going from that warrior that got the fans in his corner to the ultimate merc and the danger is if he gets the deal and isn't producing, I think we are going to hear boos that haven't been heard in that stadium yet. Most fans understand they have to play the game but we expect them to play our game as well.

Lawrence my find himself in Hardy territory. Those against his signing and on the fence were just waiting to get onto him but he made some plays and it, temporarily, changed to "he's not so bad", "he could be innocent" and "hell, I'd hit her too".

I once negotiated a new contract for myself and used the fact I had them over a barrel and got exactly what I wanted. Really proud of myself until I saw the change in expectations that brought from my boss. Lawrence is going to get the same, fans won't want the old Lawrence, they will be expecting the new and improved Lawrence and as dominant as Mack, Miller and Arnold. Getting their money, you better be as good.

EKS, we gotta lose someone,I agree. I rather keep tank on a tag, and lose Byron Jones. Jones will be the guy we lose I think...MAYBE TANK TOO. DAK COOPER AND ZEKE are staying.

I would be surprised at any highly paid player loving the game more than money. They do not play the game to play the game.

but you better love it. Eventually it shows up...if you don't. Can't fool the fans all the time.

not to be crude or rude, there IS NO DEBATE. He has an obligation and duty to all 32 teams to get his body right,PERIOD END OF STORY. He hasn't done so. Nothing can be fascilitated...NOTHING without him doing what he should have done already!!! Which is get the shoulder fixed, THE SIGN THE TAG. By doing those things he would be on track to play ball week 1. Now its in limbo. There isn't "both sides" to this debate. Trust me when I say, The Dallas Cowboys FO is seeing it this way exactly. Its good business. Why invest top dollar into ANYONE OR ANYTHING is its damaged? It would be fool hearty.

There’s still time for DLaw to fix the labrum and not miss any real time. Which means this is all positioning for a huge negotiation right now. If the “leverage” that has turned you to jelly here in this thread even gets the Joneses to spend time thinking about how to counter it, it’s worth doing from Lawrence’s camp.

I expect he’ll make a “concession” after the draft and get the work done so that he’s healthy for either the tag or the open market. It’s in his interest to play a full season, so he very likely will. Not many players are going to be willing to follow Leveon Bell off the cliff.

If they actually let lewis play and draft a safett and a corner early this year, im fine with letting both tank and jones walk. Though we can still fit jones in as i dont think he will cost as much as some think unless he gets 5+ picks this year.

You're high if you think he wouldn't get more than $20m/year as a UFA.
btw..he can't get that as of today from any team...other than Dallas. Most teams cap has been expended on free agency. MAYBE Cleveland or the Jets.

or he could find himself sitting at home paying hefty fines...

I think we move Jones on trade. Maybe even before the draft. We are apparently signing Dak, hopefully next year when we have more money. SJ says we are paying Elliot. Cooper is all we have for dynamic WR right now. I see at least a 3 year deal there. D-Law May have worn out his welcome and may wish he signed that deal. I don’t see him getting more from any other team, maybe not what he was offered now.

I think we've been fooled many times. The only thing that saves us is that camera on them on every play and knowing they've got a film session coming up in front of their teammates. I wonder how all of us would perform our jobs under that scrutiny?

then Im high I guess. We will see if he hits the open market with a bum shoulder.
He has a non-exclusive tag and can talk to teams right now. If he was only going to get $15m, he would have accepted Dallas' $20m offer.

Flowers tank and clark are all on the same level to me. Flowers didnt get it. Tank and clark are still wishing and hoping, but clarks not even injured and has out performed tank. Tanks nuts if he thinks he is going to get what he wants at this point.

LMAO, half the league has more than $20m in cap space. With bonus, guarantee structures, his cap hit could be a lot lower than that too. The Colts could basically give him $50m this year.
