Most Overated Player in the NFL

Heck, Revis wasn't even the best <last season> -- Charles Woodson was. Yes, Woodson isn't the pure cover man Revis is, but heck, Woodson gets lot of INTs, Forced Fumbles, Fumble Recoveries, sacks, and even is a very good tackler.

+1...

a lot of these players you people are listing are no longer necessarily rated high in the minds of viewers anymore...and to say revis isn't the best is nonsense. he was the #1 cb when it came to opposing quarter back rating vs him. i guess that means nothing... eek. although woodson was lights out. and to top it off yes AP needs to work on how he gets hit when running the ball, something Emmitt Smith perfected. If he can improve on that he rebecomes the best back in the league, right now only following Chris Johnson.

Revis was amazing last year.

Charles Woodson made plays all season and played like Superman against us. But let's be real. Revis last year was the definition of "shutdown".

Mine would be James Harrison.

Im going to kill anyone who says Bob Sanders lol

Yeah anyone saying Revis is crazy

Bob Sanders or DeAngelo Hall.

I'd have to say Bob Sanders out of that duo. People know that DeAngelo Hall is a joke by now.

Eli Manning, Jay Cutler, RW11, and Jamarcus Russell come to mind, not Phillip Rivers.

Peterson is overrated in terms of the pedastal he was put on.

He is still probably the 2nd best back in the league but he isn't on that legendary tier anymore as of now.

I tell you what back I was impressed with this year and thats Jonathan Stewart from Carolina.

Ya........I live in NY as well and not only do I NOT hear that everyday, I have NEVER ONCE heard a Jets fan say he is the best of all time. Do you really wanna go down this road again......... and get abused all over again?

Yeah, I from Queens and I still go up there occasionally to visit family and friends. Though I have heard many Jets fans rave about Revis I have never heard one say he was the greatest of all time based on 1 season. I mean Jets fans are dump but they are not that dump.

some of the names on some of these lists are mind boggling..put your personal feelings aside and answer the question objectively

Carson Palmer is a good choice, out of all the names that have been thrown around Palmer is definitely amongst the most overrated. The guy just flat out sucks.

I have spent the last 10 minutes or so looking for a more overrated player than Palmer and I don't think I can find a player that I think is more overrated..Palmer has my vote as of now

you gotta think who he talks to everyday...other 16 year olds. dont **** on him too much

IMO Brett Faurve is the most overrated player in sports history. I have heard people say he is the best qb ever. To me that is just bs, now I will say he is the toughest player ever but he is not in my top ten as greatest qb ever

He brought it up...........yet again. As far as I'm concerned, he's asking for it......and getting it.
