I just don't think Murray is worth what HE thinks he is. And if taking down all Cowboys related images on his twitter account makes him feel some sort of vindication, then whatever. I could care less. It's not like more money is going to stop him from carrying the football like a loaf of bread, or stop fumbling at the worst of times, or give him break away speed. I say the Cowboys are being smart, and hopefully moving on from a slightly better than average talent that was made to look fairly elite by a very good offensive line.

As for Dez pouting? Lol Okay. This stuff happens all the time. Chalk it up to agents being agents trying to maximize a deal. Dez deserves his money. That kind of talent doesn't come around often. Dez is arguably the best at his position. Murray? Hardly.

Dez has more career fumbles in Dallas than Murray and does not get the ball near as many times. Few touches more fumbles? lol Dez does deserve money and Dallas is paying him close to 13 mill.

Who is the best at Murrays position?
I would say that more top WR's can be named in the conversation about best WR in the game than top RB's.

He is not crying he is trying to get a deal. Dez had been franchised has he signed it? Will he be in camp? He is the one getting the money and pouting over it.

Yeah because getting 13m vs the 35m guaranteed you're worth is something to celebrate.

I believe the highest is a third, and they very rarely give those out.

It is interesting that the NFL has never published a "formula". At times it seems arbitrary when they do award third round choices.

We are much better off in the long run.

I know there will be panic in the streets but his next contract will prove to be a bad one.

This exactly.

I like Murray.

I've said all along I don't want him back on any sort of big money contract. It's a contract that would prove to be a horrible idea.

He's a back whose never stayed healthy for a full season. Even this year, in his break out season (also known as the contract season) he broke his hand. Most likely if it weren't a contract year he wouldn't have even played at the end of the season because of that.

Couple that with the fact that historically backs tend to really wear down the years following a 400+ carry season, along with the fact that the guy is already injury prone, and any big time money put into him would have wound up wasted.

The moment I heard the Jags were interested in him was the moment you knew for sure he wasn't coming back here. They've got tons of money to burn and they'll way over pay for him, just like they're going to way over pay for Julius Thomas.

I don't believe they give out 2nd round comp picks.

Not only that, but if we sign 3 free agents, we would have to lose 4 to get anything more than a 7th. Parnell, Carter and Murray would cancel out 3 even if the prices don't. But guys like Clayborn or Cole were cut and do not count.

LeSean McCoy. LeVeon Bell. Marshawn Lynch. Adrian Peterson. There's four right there. So with the help of our O line, Murray, in my opinion, would be fifth out of the top five running backs in the NFL.

As for Dez, without him, we wouldn't have gone as far as we did. No doubt 12-4 wouldn't have happened. Game changer.

Murray = Product of the O line.

The most shocking thing to me every year are the posts about no loyalty in he NFL and yadda yadda...like people are still surprised when big names go to another team, or get cut by their current team.

This is the same league that had the 49ers getting rid of a 4 time Superbowl Champion QB and the Greatest WR to ever play the game.

Murray not being given the money he wants in Dallas shouldn't be shocking, to be perfectly honest.

I keep reading this, but at what point have the Cowboys shown that they think Murray can be replaced by just "anyone".

nobody. some people just seem to think/talk in extremes. that or they cry out against fictitious arguments no one has really said but is loosely implied by the situation itself, so they wind up arguing with no one except their own strange mental issues about a situation that doesn't exist.

@MikeAndMike: "If DeMarco Murray leaves Dallas, Adrian Peterson would come into play… But there is a lot that has to happen." - @AdamSchefter

so you're telling me there's a chance!
