Murray deletes Dallas out of BIO & Cowboys AVI

On his twitter he is pretty much letting everyone know a decision has been made & he's signing elsewhere.. No news as to where he is headed, but it's pretty telling that his days are over in Dallas.

Two words: psychological warfare.

CJ Spiller, come on down. What we'll lose in the 'dirty yards' as Garrett calls them, Spiller will make up for with his home run speed and game changing abilities. Murray gets to the second level and looks to run outta bounds or lay down, Spiller takes those to the house - especially with the gaping holes the great wall will be busting open next year.

I feel like this may be a good option for us. Spiller, Williams and Dunbar. Draft a Rookie and let him wait. Cut the Panty Bandit.

Spiller has been in the league 5 years and has missed games every season due to injury. He's been very injury prone only playing in 9 games this past season averaging 3.8 a carry. Williams never even suited up for the Cowboys in 2014 and Lance Dunbar had only 29 rushes this past season averaging 3.4 a carry. I don't feel that rotation is a very good option when you're trying to replace the top rusher in the league who was the teams MVP. You have one back who can't stay healthy and was just kicked to the curb in favor of another back. You have another RB who hasn't seen a regular season carry since the 2012 season and the Cowboys appear to be fazing Dunbar out who never touched the ball during the playoffs.

The same could have been said about Demarco up until this year. Demarco was always hurt. This line can help out any rb significantly.

I just have a feeling that replacing Demarco unless its "All Day" is going to come back and haunt us. The cohesion on this team with him Dez, Romo and our O line has to remain intact. No I don't want his price tag to cost us down the road but we finally have something positive going and changing the dynamic could mean we take a step back.

I more nervous that we lost Callahan. Hopefully Pollack continues where he left off.

You're putting too much weight on the running back position.

I hope no one is surprised if we end up having two good backs that split carries vs. one 'star'.

You can keep thinking about it "all day", but it aint happening.

Try to get AD before the draft. Failing that draft Gurley or Gordon. If AD then become available go get him anyway. Pummel this league into a fine powder.

Thats why I think he will be good in a rotation, because that is what we will be using next year. Less carries keeps these guys healthy.

Tony Romo wasn't the league's leading rusher silly.

That's true but Murray missed games 3 straight seasons compared to 5 straight seasons for Spiller and Murray won't be moving on because he just got kicked to the curb in favor of another back. If the Cowboys were to go with a Spiller, Williams, Dunbar rotation they'll be relying on 2 backs who've had injury problems and if they go down the Cowboys would be stuck with a 195 pound back in Dunbar who's only seen 80 carries in his 3 NFL seasons averaging 4.0 a carry.

Like I mentioned Williams hasn't seen a regular season carry since the 2012 season and he only saw action in 5 games that season. This past summer in preseason he didn't look impressive which is why he was 4th on the depth chart and never even made it to the sidelines during the regular season. Spiller, William's and Dunbar aren't exactly a 3 headed monster would you feel comfortable entering the 2015 season with that rotation?

Tony Romo wasn't the teams MVP it was clearly Demarco Murray. Romo had career lows in passing yards in which he played at least 15 games and attempts due to the production by Murray in the running game. Romo wouldn't have had the season he did without the running game Murray provided. Romo only attempted 19 passes vs Green Bay in the playoffs due the Cowboys riding Murray. Murray led the league in rushing setting a franchise record in the process and he also set an NFL record by starting the season with 8 straight 100 yard games. Romo had a terrific season but it was all due to him being able to lean on the running game and not having to carry the offense.

I've never been a fan of that system. Seems like you don't let one back or the other get into a groove. Then because of different running style from back to back you aren't doing much to help your Oline.

How do we get a really good, big name back in the draft when we are going defense early?

The Bills used at least 4 backs in 2014 and Spiller still couldn't stay healthy. He's been in a rotation with Fred Jackson every season and he still ends up injured. Less carries hasn't kept him healthy.

U need an effective running game. We have the line for it. We have a passing game to make it better and compliment it. If we had the money u bring him back. We don't.

Apparently, 1,800 yard running backs grow on trees. Especially those that can carry the ball 400+ times a year, know how to pass block, and are exceptional safety valves out of the backfield. That's what I read here anyway.
