Murray is in decline

Chip Kelly's scheme is a bad fit.
The Eagles have a poor line.
Bradford is terrible, and it takes a team.
Murray has to touch the ball consistently to get in the groove of the game.
He still broke off a nice run or two, even with sitting on the bench watching the Dallas offense own the ball for 40:30 versus 19:30.

No two teams nor situations are the same.

I believe he is a good guy who got screwed by this franchise. But not as much as by the fans themselves.

Looks like the McCoy/bush types are better suited for that offense with their finesse styles. Murray doesn't have much "Quick hip" wiggle, and frankly neither does Ryan Matthews. One has to question what the Eagles were thinking

My thing was just that people here were buying the fan speak thar he'd always wanted those types of runners when he'd never really prioritized one at any level. I mean he's running almost exclusively out of the shotgun for Pete's sake.

is at his " Eddie George " stage in his career. Murray's prime ended Week 12 of last year and the decline looks to be very steep and very fast.

I wouldn't be surprised if Matthew's winds up the starter sometime this season and Murray and plays 2 years of his contract.

That's silly. Murray is on a team that is letting him constantly get hit as soon as he's handed the ball. His whole game this week was like that play where Lucky Whitehead failed to block the defensive back and McFadden was hit immediately.

Now, I'm happy the Eagles couldn't block us and would love for Murray and Philly to have an awful season, but the decline talk is just silly.

Murray chased the money instead of realizing the benefits of staying on a team that fits his running style.

I'm happy it's working out so poorly for him because that's to our benefit.

DeMarco just found out what happens when you don't dance with the one that ya came with...."happy trails to you...until we meet again...."

He's not in decline he's just in the wrong system and he has zero blocking, but hey, he got his money.

Murray, like all the other dime a dozen guys, is showing that you can't do squat at that position unless you have space to run into.

I don't think hes done by any stretch. His line was terrible today.

yea, I'm not saying he's going to go on and rush for 1800 yards again, but if the conclusion you came to today was Murray was the problem, then you don't understand football.

so are you suggesting that a non "dime a dozen" guy, like Adrian Peterson would have faired better today with the o-line playing the same?

He's a terrible fit for that offense. Bradford too. You can throw Maxwell in the convo.

LOL CHIP KELLY

Maxwell is absolutely terrible. From what I've seen he looks like the product of a good DB group in Seattle, which I guess was expected, but I didn't think he'd look THIS bad.

Glad the Eagles overpaid for him....and Murray

He might be a good guy but in no way did we screw him. Philly decided to make him an offer far above his true value and there was no way we were going to match it. Murray saw what the Cowboys are building and decided he didn't want to be a part of it and left.

Murray (21 carries, 11 yards rushing) is the first player since the AFL-NFL merger to have more than 20 carries and fewer than 20 yards in the first two games of the season. He's not even halfway to the previous low (Ki-Jana Carter, 21 carries for 27 yards in 1996).

Now THAT's a stat.

The Seahawks still have the good DBs. They let the system guys walk.
