My fool proof Cowboy formula for predicting a bad road loss (Dak thread)

We had a smart and accurate QB in 2014
This is your whole stick for your daily/yearly hateful rants against Dak. ^^^^

You whine just like your QB did. Bunch of whiners, sorelosers and chokers.

You whiny, hateful Romofanatics are the absolute worst. Y'all intentionally have ruined this site and made it uncomfortable simply because of your butthurt, sorelosing feelings.

Because Dak doesn't play defense. Thos was all about Dak. Disgused as a post including a few other names to try and make it sound objective
Just a thought. Maybe it’s just me but the defense doesn’t seem to have the ability to set the tone against quality teams.

Our offense needs to be the bus driver and get us the lead to somewhat remove the opponents running game from the equation.

Yep, my faith in the D is shaken so the O has to carry the day.

We came off an emotional win, on the road at a good team's house with their backs on the wall.

It wasn't only Dak that had a bad day. I predict pain for Miami this weekend and will put money on it

Wasn't there some year not so long ago when we were better on the road than at home? Was that during the Garrett era?
Yes, they were actually better on the road for a while under the Spitter - Clapper.

Who is the over matched guard you speak of? Bass did fine.
he was average to below average. decent...just decent in run blocking. very average to below average in pass blocking. put him and steele together and the right side was to be taken advantage of

Romo? What did he ever accomplish?
A 2-4 playoff record.....just like Rayne Dakota

Dakota should get another playoff win against yet another abysmal NFC south team again just like last year..... maybe this one will actually have a winning record.

I would say he was quite efficient in run blocking. Pass I would say good on most plays but there were a few plays that he & his mates (Biad & Steele) messed up.

To be honest though, the line performed just as well or better than when Zack was in there. He moves people better than Zack. Thus, why I would say the game didn't change for the worse just because he was your RG.

But we also had the 15th ranked defense....not like the top 6th ranked one we have now
Here's the difference between Romo and his followers.

Romo feels blessed and privileged to have been the QB of the Cowboys for as long as he was. Some minor regrets, I'm sure.

Meanwhile, his obnoxious followers, and they all aren't this way, whine and cry and hate Dak because Romo wasn't allowed to return. I am reasonably sure Romo despises those who act that way because he is a class act.

The best thing about this team is the win and lose as a team. They all play well, and they all lose well

True, but we also had arguably the greatest O-line to ever play the game.

Also - it would be neat to see stats on these conditions, and how this team compares to others. Most teams will struggle in bad weather, on the road, and at a venue with rabid fans.

None of this is to take anything away from your assertion: no team can afford to pay a QB that kind of $$ if they can't surmount those kinds of conditions.

Interesting take. I was a Huge Romo fan, but I support guys on the roster. So, the Romo vs Dak fits are beyond silly. Romo somehow got propelled into the HOF after he retired.

I agree with your second sentence. Third sentence, no need discussing.

The problem with all of what went down in 2016 is the word "allowed". A veteran starting QB shouldn't be "disallowed" from resuming his role when he is medically cleared to do so. There isn't a rookie QB in history who is better than a veteran when you settle into a playoff run. Romo was still a vastly superior player to Dak.
Dak is 8 years in and still much argument about what his real talent level is so any thought that an answer was known in Dec 2016 is pure Garrett \ Jones foolishness. Also, the statements about Romo was sure to get injured again are pure speculation. Certainly possible but he was cleared & wanted to play. That's what should have happened. Doesn't influence my thoughts about Dak at all though. It wasn't his decision.

Romos injuries prevented him from playing. Even if not for the Cowboys he surely would have gotten a startup job elsewhere.

But he's in the past and Dak is the present.....I'm just not hopeful that the results will be any different.....but I hold our GM responsible for that, more than both of our quarterbacks
