I think we went 8-0 on the road in 2014. Lost on the road to the Packers in the playoffs. But that's what happens when you turn the ball over in a critical situation to a good team.
Dez caught it.

I loved watching Romo and am a huge fan even still but you could tell it was time to pass the torch and we had Dak ready to go.
How was Dak ready to go in 2016? He got tossed into the fire whe Romo went down and basically had to learn on the fly. In no way, shape, or form was he ready to move into the #1 spot. But he got to keep the spot when he performed way beyond expectations and trust in Romo's ability to stay healthy was gone.

Personally, I had no issue with Dak keeping the job in 2016. Glass Broke-Mo was done

Wasn't there some year not so long ago when we were better on the road than at home? Was that during the Garrett era?
Yeah I think it was when the new stadium just opened.

Why glorify Dak when he's basically Romo 2.0? The only difference is Romo had his stupid celebrity status infatuation.
Totally, Dak's and Romo's career trajectory to this point feel very similar. Good regular season numbers, not much to show for in the playoffs. We should all hope Dak can change thay narrative in the post season.

OK "ready to go" was a bit of an overstatement, I admit. We did end up in the playoffs that year though.

Y’all missing the point, it was given to you a few weeks ago. In Dallas’s wins the season, Dak on average has had 1.2 seconds extra time in the pocket then he did during our losses. And if you go back to seasons past, it’s also the same way. Dak does not make decisions fast enough to be an elite quarterback. It’s THAT simple….He’s second-guessing himself. When we are getting an extra 1.2 seconds in the pocket you can get away with it and even make some great plays. But when you have to make spontaneous decisions? Dak chokes. He hesitates and makes slow reads. All you have to do is go back to his scouting reports to see this. This is one of those things either a player has or they don’t. They are born with it. Dak doesn’t have it. If the offensive line can continue to give him that extra one second to pass? Just like any quarterback at the NFL level, he’ll tear you up. Otherwise, you get what he is, mediocre. End of story.

All quarterbacks at the NFL level can make incredible throws. Can thread the needle. Can throw on a rope. Obviously some better than others but they all can do it. Or they wouldn’t be there. What distinguishes the difference between great quarterbacks and mediocre quarterbacks is their ability to read the Defense quickly, and make spontaneous decisions. Go back and look at any of the greats. They all have that ability. Dak is a good QB, but he’s not winning games by himself. He can’t. And that’s also the reason why he’s reached his peak pay potential. For Dak to be successful he hast to have every piece in place around him. Which means lots of salary cap flexibility. Paying him $60 million a year is going to take that away and Dak Will end up retiring early because of it. That’s how bad it will be if we pay him that kind of money. Jerry won’t be able to put the talent around him that he has now.

The offense is just bad in road games. It's been a trend all season long, doesn't matter who the opponent is (good/bad) or even if the defense plays good or bad either. In 7 road games, Dak is averaging 216 yards on 63% completion percentage with 8 TDs and 5 INTs (basically 1 TD/game).

NOBODY is touting Romo....I wasn't anyway....forget that I mentioned his name. My point is that Dak is neither smart or accurate....and neither can suddenly be learned at age 30.
what are you basing your view of neither smart nor accurate...your eye test?

Love this typical Dak bashing when Josh Allen completed seven passes- SEVEN- and won the game. Guess he's an MVP candidate for doing an incredible job handing off to James Cook.

What if the Cowboys had that kind of running game in the rain and wind to fall back on? Because I remember a game in Philly in 1993 when Troy Aikman went 9/19 passing in bad weather but Emmitt went for 237 yards.

Dak is not smart or accurate based on the Bills game? Guess you want to ignore the previous eight weeks when he had a 22-2 TD-pick ratio.

If you hate Dak, fine, but making up things doesn't help your cause. Every QB has an off-week, so I guess the NFL is full of dumb and inaccurate passers.

Romo did not have the body type that Dak has, and Dak does not have the brains that Romo had when it comes to football.

Don't worry.

Make no mistake about it we have the best QB in the nfl and we will win the Super Bowl
One game does not define them
They will go back, watch some tape, and get better
Dak will be better, he has to get better, he will get better
I see what you did :muttley:

Dak has locked into his primary receiver his entire Cowboy career, and does his receivers no favors with his inaccurate throws. Dak and Eli must have been sprinkled with pixie dust at birth, because the two of them combined have more dropped interceptions than all other QB's combined in the history of the NFL.

Who is more trash? The trash team and trash coach or the trash whiny fan who keeps watching them?
Or the trash ** ignorant Dak supporters! Yeah you and Nav 22! If you two idiots don't see there is something wrong with Dak than you really know nothing about football. I'm sick of you all making excuses for a choker.

You got nothing on the poster (Dave?) with the magic 8 ball.
