closing time in the NBA.
things are about to change mightily as playoffs bring a totally different game.

can't wait to see how gsw and cle look in the playoffs.
that gsw and okc playoff series could be pretty amazing if kd is back.

Doesn't look good for KD.. series would still be exciting.. but OKC wouldn't have much of a chance without KD..
heck, it's a possibility Ibaka may not be back.:(

last i heard kd was going out and shooting in between quarters like a high school kid, lol.
but no idea if he can play actual games... my guess is he gives it a shot.

fun to watch either way but minus kd and ibaka okc might give up 120 a night.
russ will get 30,10 and 10 and they'd still lose by double digits.

It's been a while since I've seen a swing from offensive efficiency to defensive inefficiency from a big man as bad as Enes Kanter.

yea, maybe 40 year old sabonis or walton after a couple knee surgeries is about as close as it gets.
i bet he improves a lot defensively the next couple seasons playing with a playoff team tho.

Nerlens Noel, and Embiid will be a force 2 years..
That is allo_O;):D

yea, about the time they hit free agency, lol.

the 76ers are following that thunder model... that saw harden end up in houston.

tough to build internally through the draft.

noel and embiid will be beasts tho, no doubt there.

That's it for Durant's season. I'm not so sure he'll ever return to form. Foot injuries are those things some people can never overcome. Especially if you're as tall and lanky as Durant. I always wondered if he'd have a long career considering he had the muscular definition of a 12 year old coming out of college. I guess we'll find out. I wish him well. This is interesting though. I believe he'll be a free agent next year and with Westbrook officially becoming a superstar this year along with the uncertainty that Durant will ever be the same, I can see OKC going in a different direction. That's a shame considering they had Durant/Westbrook/Harden all on the same roster. Imagine if the three will be superstars all on opposing teams next year. Talk about a team not making the most out of what they had.

not sure it has anything to do with his strength or build.
he's obviously added muscle.

MJ was skinny and lanky when he came out of college as well and obviously that didn't hinder him.

the injury is supposed to heal completely with the bone graft but any surgery is serious and for athletes at this level there is always risk of not being totally right.

if anything I suspect this makes it easier for the thunder to keep Durant.
not really ideal to go through any free agency stuff while rehabbing.

Yeh, I don't believe the injury had anything to do with his body type, although the history of 6-10 and over guys with foot injuries always makes his case study looks a bit ominous. Often those guys are carrying more weight than Durant, not to mention the variation of injuries... From I've read the Jones fracture repair usually have a 96 percent success rate with the insertion of a screw, and the bone healing, he just happen to be in that 4 percentile. Brooke Lopez broke his fifth metatarsal, twice I believe, and has played 61 games this season. I'm not a doctor, so I can't call it, but I really hope it doesn't effect his game. Durant is one of the few players who embody thats 80's, 90's mentality of "take no prisoners", in a day in age where AAU ball has left most players in the league wanting to play "friendship ball".

Ahhh-haa.... but that was before the multi-billion dollar TV contracts the NBA signed. I think the next CBA will be the tell tale. And don't be surprised if the Sixers start adding veterans in 16-17'. I think they go though 15-16' seeing what they got, find out how the CBA shakes out, than use the cap space, youth, and picks they have to add the parts that works with the team makeup... But that's just a guess, I'm an optimistic fan, and even though the organization has been frustrating to the Philadelphia fans, I see the upside.

I just hope it doesn't turn into a Grant Hill type deal.
