I'm talking about the chance to play with his brother - which they've both mentioned they would love to do in the past.

as you mention to make that happen means losing duncan and manu.
better to just say we'd try our best to get marc in here via trade.
otherwise your asking him to sign up for 1 year of elite talent and then possibly a non-playoff caliber team.

sales pitch from me would be 2 years with this crew all signed!
3rd year is PO and you can stay with us or test new market with new CBA.

best chance to win next year or two is us.

we will chase marc if he is interested in being a spur.

Discussions are heating up with regard to Cleveland trading #1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins to Minny for Kevin Love.

Would you guys make that trade?

James, Love, and Irving would be pretty formidable. Still, hard to part with a talent like Wiggins who's just starting his rookie contract.

If I'm Cleveland? Of course I make that trade. If I'm Minnesota? Hell no.

Well, yeah, I'm not saying that is the lead ploy. It would need to be about a 3y contract with first on MLE, second hefty raise and third raise, or PO. I'm just saying that they've stated that they would love to play together, and based on cap room and contract lengths alone, San Antonio offers that chance. I'm not saying that should be the angle they hitch their wagon to. The bottom line is, the Spurs are an elite team, and adding Pau would make them (injuries aside) darn near unbeatable next year. THAT should be the angle they use.

That's not homering out - that was actually just stated verbatim on ESPN News by non-Spurs fans.

Bosh to Miami.

Gonna be interesting to see what HOU does.
Especially since Dallas turned the screws on them with Parsons offer.

MIA... that team is a major question mark now.

actually that was what i just the sales pitch should be... lol.

but no, adding gasol wouldn't make them unbeatable, just favorites.
up front they'd have depth and talent galore but back court still thin with injuries going into year.
with good health they'd be a very strong bet.

Not today no. I'd want to see Wiggins some first.
CLE only has to beat GSW offer.
Cavs have lots of young talent for sure and can move some but I wouldn't be looking at top asset as bait just yet.

Bosh going back to Miami probably means Houston will match Parsons and just to rub it inn they will probably do it last second leaving nothing on the market for mavs plan b

hear that a lot but it's very remote as an issue.
only 30 hours or so for ROX to play with.
agents know possible spots and know DAL has 15m to spend.

i "think" Deng comes off market to MIA and then DAL gets Ariza at 12m per. --Wash and ROX also options for Ariza but likely more like 9-11M per year.

ROX probably get in on another big like maybe Greg Monroe before matching Parsons.

right now at SF in Mavs minds imho:
Parsons
Ariza
Deng
Stephenson
big salary drop....
Pierce
Marion

Parsons at that price with 15% trade kicker not a great contract.
I am hardly crying if we work down the list some, especially if prices drop as you work down.

I wonder if Houston now becomes hot for Gasol. Cause that worked so well in LA.

Rox might be hardest team to figure out.
Their moves haven't really had a pattern.
They have shot for bigger and bigger names with each move.

Bosh as a stretch 4 was a nice fit for them but we still didn't see any plan for defense.
I mean McHale came from the 80s Celts for cripessakes. Only one guy was allowed to shoot the ball, 4 people played defense.
Now he has one defender and that player wants to be Wilt not Russell so 5 offensive weapons.

But Houston has a ton of talent and cap space and rights to match on Parsons.
The cupboard is stocked aplenty for a fine Sunday dinner.
I am just the odd duck who questions whether or not Morey knows how to cook.

I "think" they want a younger, better athlete than Gasol.
But DAL putting offer makes it tough for them to put in sheet on Greg Monroe/Eric Bledsoe.
Rumor is they were chasing Rondo pretty hard now.
That would really fit if Rondo is healthy. Good defender, poor shooter. Best position fit as a starting PG is need 1.
They'd then need to match on Parsons for shooting or add someone in FA that is a true marksman.

Key to it all is will Harden play a winning style.
If he is Iverson light they are gonna struggle.

Bosh definitely took the extra money over the better potential team. But the West is brutal, so I can see that part of it.

Bosh the refreshing expected athlete who took the biggest offer regardless of circumstance, lol.

He is very clear that basketball is his job, not his life. That dude is no LeBron.

I've heard the Bulls and Spurs are the front runners. OKC and LA have been ruled out.

If money remotely even SAS a great fit for him.
Tho not sure what the Spurs need 4 bigs of that caliber for, it is his best bet to win.

UNLESS Carmelo goes to CHI and they get Gasol there too. Then it's an easier ride through the East.

They don't NEED 4 bigs of that caliber - it'd just be a luxury. Gasol is a great passer and shooter. The ball may never touch the floor.

Looking more like Chicago, though.
