I think West plays ahead of Diaw. He's a better athlete better defender, although Diaw is a better passer.
San Antonio needs another guard, and more size.

I think it will depend on who they're playing on any given night.
I think you're right, they need a big body C to absorb some hits, use up some fouls, another PG and another wing player.

Well, Charlotte drafted their third straight attempt at their cornerstone stretch four in Frank the Tank. They need to luck out on that one day soon because it is really getting annoying watching Jordan fall in love with these guys year after year.

The good news is that Batum is a big step up over anything we had in a shooting guard last season and scoring options in general are way better than last year. Believe me, losing 120-110 is waaaaaay more watchable than losing 85-80. That is what you get to look forward to when you root for the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets! :)

Problem is, in the NBA you need a marquee talent to compete for an NBA championship. Rarely does a team win it all, with a team who is just greater than the sum of their parts and Charlotte has never had the #1 pick and really have not had the chance to draft a difference maker. They could have a back court of Damien Lillard and Klay Thompson, but still that would likely only get you #5 - #8 in the east

Dude, in this town, a #5 to #8 seed would be celebration worthy, no joke! This place was crazy excited to just make the playoffs a few years ago. Such is life when you are perennially bad. :)

temporary celebration. fans easily will get bored with first round exits. and once you get stuck in the #5-#8 area, it's hard to improve since you won't get high lottery picks. So unless you already have your core together and they just need time (Golden State), then that's typically as far as you go.
