Kraft was not a spotlight seeker. He’s only interested in results.

Booger arrived in Dallas already trying to show off for the media.
Jones' most distinctive current narcissistic attraction is not his superyacht or the stadium. It is his throne chair within the draft war room. Even the camera angle is set dead straight on his chair. Viewers are only able to see other inhabitants of the war room when the camera pans out and towards their location. There is no other setting quite like it in any professional sports' team draft room around the world. Jones makes showing off an art form.

In other words Jimmy isn’t getting in the ROH.
When Jerry gets his ring without Jimmy , being no part of it. Switzer had some of Jimmy’s players, That’s when he’ll put him in the ring of honor.

If it’s going to take Jerry getting a ring without Jimmy then Jimmy definitely isn’t getting in. Even if Jerry were to get another ring, I still don’t think he would add Jimmy to the ROH.

I have held strong doubts of that happening myself for years. I want the franchise to win Super Bowls no matter what. However, I also want the team to finally win a sixth championship in order to prove or disprove my own opinions of Jones' words and actions of the past 3+ decades by what he would do afterwards.

Go ahead and highlight the use of cocaine again under Tom Landry again for us all....and bypass committments trying to overcome some or the player needs coming through those social times in sports as well. Gung ho on the respects part of your view.

Yea, a real human dignity and he kept the dynasty team together through the chaos as well...oh, you say walk on water Jimmy Johnson did all the work behind the scenes in a world class medical group and equipment, huh? What was the level of other teams? What did San Francisco do for Haley before they tried to sweep him under their rug and sold him to Dallas...yea, skim yet another topic and settle on nothing more than Jimmy 'glory' instead.

Jerry did enough for Jimmy that he elevated even him to top of the line glory...who tried to force his own way into being a GM and even Miami wouldn't bite. Saint Jimmy tried to become a GM the week of the 1993 Super Bowl...and was trying to punch his own ticket that for 'some' reason didn't work else where as well.

Squeek on up some now...

First, I rarely squeak.

Second....there is no second. I try not to respond to a particular set of posts more than twice because I don't want anyone to think that I am attacking them personally. That is never my intention.

Besides, we both know the drill. Respectfully, we must agree to disagree once again.

Enjoyed the debate. I shall give you the last word if you choose. Until next time....

He got a ring without Jimmy. The Cowboys were two years removed from Jimmy when Jerry got his third ring.

I don't blame Jerry for excluding Jimmy Johnson. Jimmy was over-the-top disrespectful and insubordinate to Jerry Jones at the end of his tenure in Dallas. You cannot do that, and then turn around and expect to be honored by the man that you were so disrespectful to.

Throw an emotional and very public verbal grenade at your boss, and embarrass him on your way out the door, and see if he'll ever be willing to publicly honor you. I won't happen, no matter how good you were while you worked for the company.

And in doing so has tarnished the purpose of the ring and why it was set up in the first place. Johnson's players that have already gone up must feel really strange about how this is being handled because of the personal nature of this.

That ROH wasn't created for the owner, it was created for the coaches, players and fans and Booger's pettiness has shown just how important he really thinks the fans are but I am not surprised in the least. Other than their money, he could care less about them.

For a guy that seeks the spotlight and begs for praise as much as he does, he doesn't see that this one act might bring some fans over to his side of the fence. Instead, he insults the intelligence of his fanbase with his answers when asked about this subject. Does he really think he's fooling anybody?

Is there any better example of why pro team owners remain silent and out of the spotlight than this clown? He is actually an embarrassment to the NFL.

What’s your point?
That's a fact and why Jerry was even allowed to purchase the team to begin with and contracts signed. Jerry agreed to the conditions and Jerry's bid was then accepted instead of what was supposed to be a higher bid than was Jerry's. He was told starting conditions and complied with the current ownership then...

That's the point, and not another Blame It on the O'Mally's.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/red herring

red herring noun
1: a herring cured by salting and slow smoking to a dark brown color
2 [from the practice of drawing a red herring across a trail to confuse hunting dogs] : something that distracts attention from the real issue

Example Sentences
"The argument is a red herring. It actually has nothing to do with the issue."
"The plot of the mystery was full of red herrings."
"Jerry Jones stating 'two or three coaches need to be in there, candidly' is a red herring to deflect from his refusal to induct Jimmy Johnson into the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor."

The last example sentence is brand new and not in the dictionary. It will be sent to Merriam-Webster for approval. Wish me luck!

Old news and that has nothing to do with the high profile he took coming into Dallas.

Ah a red herring, not being fair in an actually documentable elements that can then be discussed on merit and not attitude instead.

Some people may hold their breaths waiting for Jones to induct 'two or three coaches' needing to be in the Ring before Johnson. I certainly will not do so for a transparently obvious red herring.
