NCAA 2018 College Football

Texas Tech got it's best win of the Kingsbury era.
Absolutely throttled a good OKST team in their own stadium.
They have found the heir apparent to Mahomes and are playing actual defense. Be still my heart.

Bama with a 1st round QB seems unfair eh?

UT isn't "back" but that team is improving.
TCU is overrated. They have some talent and always have quality coaching but that offense isn't a top half the Big 12 group.

Penn State Vs Ohio State next Saturday ... that should be a great game. Penn State will be tough.

Omg can CFB be any more boring? Let’s just go ahead and start the playoffs now... OU, OHio St, and Clemson/UGA duke it out for the right to get crushed by Alabama.
Now we could all pretend that some Cinderella could sneak in or that one of those teams could lose but as has been shown, it won’t even matter, they will still vote those teams into the playoffs.
Condolleezza needs to introduce some parity measures. CFB used to be my favorite and I’d watch about any game on, I don’t even bother anymore.

Well, those are the 4 best teams ...... The only way you can get "parity" is to take away freedom of choice for high school recruits and implement a draft process. Never gonna happen. The fortunes of schools will rise and fall with the ability of their coaches to recruit and teach................ as always.

College football is the second most popular sport behind the NFL. Its never been more exciting or popular.

A better answer is to expand the playoff.

Gonna be a qb duel Luk. It may even go into overtime. Keep in mind, PS hasn't lost in Happy Valley since '15.;)

I'm am pulling for Penn State. I do not like Urban Meyer. And of course, I don't like Ohio State. Perfect football, Michigan v NW on local TV, then Penn St v OSU in prime-time.

Salary caps on coaching staffs, money caps on recruiting efforts, less restrictions for transfers,
Tighter, fairer, more consistent investigations and rules enforcement. Limit booster influence, benefits, and money.
When one school can pay their LB coach a million dollars per year and spend infinite dollars recruiting it naturally becomes unbalanced.
And some of the big money programs can afford to spend money to get around rules, hire tutors, dieticians, and masseuses for every player.

More NCAA rules. No thanx. The sport is fine as is and has never been more popular.

Kelly Bryant transferring from Clemson.

That true freshman seems to be the real deal.

Trevor Lawrence is a future #1 overall pick. The recruiting services had Justin Fields #1 overall coming out of HS but that is only b/c he's a dual threat. In terms of pure passing , Lawrence is the real deal. Its a similar situation at Bama where you have an incumbent QB keeping the seat warm for a future pro QB.

Looked poised for a true freshman. Now of course he played GT last week, so it'll be curious when he faces a real FBS team for an entire game.

*Still pissed about Paul Johnson still being there.

GT is a mess, but the bar is pretty low. They've lived off second tier Atlanta high school football players for a long time. They just don't have the facilities........ i think of them like I do Duke and Vanderbilt. Fans care more about basketball.

Even then their basketball team isn't the same it was a decade ago with Hewitt.

Their AD just decided to stick with an out dated offensive scheme which, along with their academic standards, limits the amount of quality prospects they can recruit. Why they extended CPJ was beyond me
They seemed to get lucky if you will with players like CJ21, Thomas, Hill, Dwyer, Choice, etc coming in but now any player with a chance with NFL offensive upside will avoid that team like the plague.
Definitely need to upgrade the facilities and start clean with the coaching staff. I don't think they can make 6 wins this year.

I am really looking forward to PSU v OSU Saturday...hopefully PSU wins...

We will find out a lot about Lawrence the next month or so.
Teams have had to prepare for the dual threat game and Lawrence came in as a pocker passer and shreded defenses but this will be different stuff.
There's been a lot of guys with these measurables prove very mortal if they can't get the ball out quickly.
These really tall powerful arm guys tend to have an issue with that quick compact motion it takes sometimes but this kid does look like the real deal right now.

Will Syracuse put a beat down on Clemson again tomorrow like they did last year?????

From San Antonio and I do respect UTSA and UT-Austin since those schools are local. But I graduated from Ohio State. I root for no other than the scarlet and grey.
