Never breaks my heart to see Duke fall! I had them being ousted by Baylor anyway, so no bracket issue there. Mizzou kind of hurt though.

No, somewhere, there's an old guy who was in the Navy and served at Norfolk, who got a job as a Steel Worker in Bethlehem Pennsylvania who is laughing his backside off at the rest of us.

I picture the guy to look a lot like Kid Lester from the movie The Best Of Times.

Different uniforms I can understand, but why different colors? Their normal colors weren't good enough? I think I heard the color was "electric" yellow. So if you're wearing the normal Baylor colors you're now not wearing the "real" colors because they don't match what the players are wearing now. I think it's really lame.

Kentucky has to be the bracket favorite at this point i guess.

First ACC defensive player off the year John Henson gets hurt. Then with Henson back, but still playing hurt, all everything point guard Kendall Marshall breaks his wrist!

I'm beyond bummed.

Reminds me of maybe the best team that they had ever; In Jordan's last year they went wire to wire as the number one team and were beating everyone by 20-30 points. Then some injuries and some foul trouble ....and poof...season over.
Gotta love The Madness, but it can be heartbreaking too.

Kentucky was awfully good too...so you never know.

Best team they ever had, IMO, was not the team Kenny The Jet got hurt on, I believe that was 83-84. That team was very good and it, IMO, would have won the NCAA championship, had Kenny Smith not broken his wrist, against LSU I think. One of their best teams of all time but I think the 82 team was better.

With Joe Wolf, Dave Popson, Curtis Hunter and Buzz Peterson all coming off the Bench. Top to bottom, this team was probably deeper.

This starting 5, IMO, was better. JMO.

But I do know what you mean. Injuries are killing us this year and like 83-84, we could well see a Championship quality team go down the drain on another wrist injury to our starting PG.

It's a good debate anyway.
I think Brad Dougherty was maybe the best center they ever had. Pairing him with Perkins and Jordan and Smith was sick. And Jordan in 83-84 was far better than the year before.
But you're right, that team was amzing...and James Worthy was amazing.

Teams were WAY better back then anyway b/c fewer left and when they did, it was much later.

New orleans has been good tot he Heels! 1982 and 2003 titles.

But losing (or severly hampering) the NCAA leader in assists would be crushing. Marshall is so valuable.
