Neighborhood watch captain kills black teen - doesn't get arrested

Former NAACP leader accuses Sharpton and Jackson of ‘exploiting’ Trayvon Martin
Jackson, for example, recently said Martin’s death shows how “blacks are under attack."

Former NAACP leader C.L. Bryant is accusing Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton of “exploiting” the Trayvon Martin tragedy to “racially divide this country.”

“His family should be outraged at the fact that they’re using this child as the bait to inflame racial passions,” Rev. C.L. Bryant said in a Monday interview with The Daily Caller.

The conservative black pastor who was once the chapter president of the Garland, Texas NAACP called Jackson and Sharpton “race hustlers” and said they are “acting as though they are buzzards circling the carcass of this young boy.”

Jackson, for example, recently said Martin’s death shows how “blacks are under attack” and “targeting, arresting, convicting blacks and ultimately killing us is big business.”

George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch captain, killed Martin, a 17-year-old black man who was unarmed at the time of his death, last month. Zimmerman has claimed to have shot Martin in self-defense and has not been charged with a crime.

But Bryant, who explores the topic of black-on-black crime in his new film “Runaway Slave,” said people like Jackson and Sharpton are being misleading to suggest there is an epidemic of “white men killing black young men.”

“The epidemic is truly black on black crime,” Bryant said. “The greatest danger to the lives of young black men are young black men.”

Bryant said he wishes civil rights leaders were protesting those problems.

I completely agree with C.L. Bryant. I cannot stand Al Sharpton and Jess Jackson

FYI, a police interrogation or investigation is not a deposition.

Try again?

You obviously can't read. See "deposition". Then take a good laugh at yourself--not look, "laugh". I am.

The oddness of your personah on these boards is epic. One day its "woe is me" and the next day its gnashing of teeth followed up by attacks and more oddness.

Not a fan and users hopefully see past your nonsense. ;)

Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson do not represent every Black person (Some think that they do). A person should pay no matter who is the race of the person that they killed.

They don't represent all Blacks anymore than the racist against Trayvon represent all White people. Some who think that wearing a Hoodie equals dressing like a "Thug" or "Hoodlum"

You're upset because I took your innocent until proven guilty argument and stomped it silly.

What have I attacked that is so odd?

Other than wanting to see justice for a dead victim and his family, I'd like to know what is so odd... what am I attacking?

Woe is me, eh?

SMH.

You've been biased since the old days. You don't like me. I get that.

I'm just curious what that has to do with Zimmerman running free at the moment after he killed some teenager when he could have just let him go.

Defend this vigilante crap all you want. Woe is me, huh? It didn't cross your mind that I may have first hand experience with botched investigation and legal matters did it?

But your'e the expert here. Innocent until proven guilty--before he's arrested.

I get it. You don't have a clue either. So you attack my persona....

Nobody said that they did but the media sure likes to run w/ the idea that they do.

Again you are failing to see the bigger picture. You are stuck on the minnows in the big ocean of sharks.

Tell me then, what are you saying that carries any substantive weight at all regarding "testimony"? Have you figured it out that you're wrong yet?

this is one of those useless rat holes that really serves no purpose in an overall answer but does divide people up.

I have no idea what you are going on about. Again it doesn't have to be understood by any of us. You are the only one it makes any sense to. Your history supports everything I am saying here.

Nothing personal....just calling it what it is.

you end with "you dont like me so you attack my persona"

earlier in this same post...

this is why we need to all get out of the water, chill out, and regroup.

Nevermind. I don't have 60 pages to explain that this situation is bigger than the 2 people involved in it.

You are exactly where the media wants you to be, bro. That's fine.

He'd still have you, and many other posters, believe he's right when he isn't. To me it serves to show that the arrogant tone taken towards others is unwarranted. You can't tell me testimony was given to the police. Even in the context if/when/where he signed it, it's still only a sworn statement. Statements are admissible, but only if he's been mirandized. Someone who doesn't get that has no business commenting on the matter. I was going to stay out of the thread until I started reading EB's nonsense.

I'm confused by the bolded part.

He basically admitted that. I was reiterating.

That someone is probably going to get hurt, like they have in the past, with these ***-hats getting involved and inciting the worst.
Considering the 'media' actually gives credibility, to Sharpton especially, despite his horrendous past is a very big picture to gauge its worthiness on. [i.e. what else are they lying about?]

The guy talking sense in that article won't make nearly as much impact, despite him being reasonable.
