No matter what Trayvon who was just walking home, didn't ask to be profiled or have the police called on him or for Zimmerman to assume that he was doing something wrong.

He didn't go to the store looking to get into a fight and get killed.

There are even conflicting stories about how Trayvon attacked Zimmerman. Two accounts that don't add up because I don't think they can both happen.

Do we know that was all he was doing? I am less inclined to believe that now.

Unless something can prove otherwise I will not rush to the judgment that Trayvon was breaking the law that night based off of past troubles.

I have to agree with doom. Many of us rushed to judgement (myself included), and thought Zim needed to hang. After reports that came out today, I'm pretty upset with myself for taking what the media spoon fed us as truth.

What a crock. There is ALOT more to this story than we know.

In the end he may be guilty but he still is innocent until proven otherwise. I hope we get more information of all that took place and I'm sure more evidence will come out as they continue to look into this. Until then people need to calm down.

Past trouble should not dictate the events of that night. Myself I want the facts nothing more nothing less.

What are you basing your judgment of Zimmerman on?

Americans of all races get stopped by neighborhood watches all the time. Only a tiny number of them (i.e. Trayvon) are dumb enough to brutally attack a guy who was just being a good citizen. We shouldn't blame the law-abiding citizens and law enforcement professionals who are trying to keep us safe. We should blame the criminals. :)

Right there with ya ......

It happens. The media is getting out of control, sadly. What happened? When was it ok to deliver all facts before painting the story how they wanted it to be painted?

10 years?

15 years?

Real investigative reporting is GONE. :(

I agree there are conflicting reports but you claiming all he did was just walking home we don't know that either. We are all going by reports and as more evidence comes out I hope they can find out what happened. Not what we think may have happened.

Not all of the facts have been released. Trayvon was 70 yards away from his father's house so that might not be near Zimmerman's truck or it might show that Zimmerman followed Trayvon quite a distance away from his truck.

Like I said depends on the position of Trayvon's body from the truck that Zimmerman claims to have went back to. So if he followed Trayvon for some distance then this could lead to Trayvon fearing for his life.

We will never know because unlike Zimmerman Trayvon is not alive to tell us what was going on in his mind or how he felt.

Plus either Zimmerman himself or someone supporting his side keeps changing the version of how he was attacked, versions that don't match up

Okay so I'll throw out his past, listening to the 911 calls I can say that intended or not Zimmerman actions and reactions to Trayvon walking lead to a 17 year old death.

Well reports of Zimmerman own account is matching up. I don't know if it is all fact, I look forward to more evidence being produced but not a public opinion trial

This is not rushing to judgment before all of the facts on all sides are released? I see no difference between the two sides.

Who said that Zimmerman was attacked from behind?

Because Zimmerman's lawyer says that Trayvon approached Zimmerman and punched him in the face and he fell backwards.

That is what i meant by the versions not matching up, I just don't see how both could be accurate

And you could easily say Martin going over to Zimmerman lead to it. You seem to dismiss that. Yes Zimmerman says he is following and is told to stop he says OK and now is going back to his vehicle so then why would Martin go towards Zimmerman. It is not as if Zimmerman had him trapped with no way out. You said he was a short distance from his father home then go home, why confront?

Zimmerman himself said Martin came over to him there was words between the 2 and Martin punched him in the nose breaking Zimmermans nose. When Zimmerman was on the ground Martin was slamming his head. Now based on reports Zimmerman did in fact have a broken nose and cuts and bruises to the head.

reading cnn right now and a story on here said that it was something like zimmerman asked him what he was doing here, trayvon said "do you have a problem", zimmeman said "no" and trayvon said "well you do now" and punched him in the nose, taking him to the ground.

the new cnn video says that its also possible trayvon was going for zimmermans gun.

now if this is true, some kid just attacked you physically, banged your head against the ground and is now going for your gun.

not saying this is what happened, not at all. more facts still have to come out, not speculation.

That is probably the case, but there's a big difference between that and murder.

The police said today that Zimmerman's version, and the eyewitness's, are corroborated by the evidence.

The truth is, we will never know for certain the minute details of what happened in the altercation.
