Neighborhood watch captain kills black teen - doesn't get arrested

Attacking a perceived threat is pretty reasonable. It happens frequently on levels much, much bigger than just two individuals.

And that's what Zimmerman was.

Followed the kid and searched around for him.

Whether or not he identified himself doesn't matter at all because it's not like people with bad intentions have never lied.

From the kids perspective some random unknown person was chasing him through a neighborhood that he was unfamiliar with.

I don't know who wouldn't consider that a threat or be frightened by it.

The Media claims that Zimmerman said this and that. Either they are just running with information with confirming this as true or Zimmerman or someone is leaking these stories of how he was attacked out.

There are conflicting stories out not just about this case as a whole, but about how exactly Trayvon attacked Zimmerman.

Whether it's the Media or Zimmerman himself I have heard about three different versions of how he was attacked.

Hoof is a good guy and he is very sharp. I am a bit surprised he has chosen sides this early. Not typical of him. Many have had a change of heart on this topic. I suppose a few more will as well.

We still do not know enough to make a accurate and complete assessment of what happened. I think he knows that.

Oh I enjoy Hoof as a user. Smart guy as you said. I am just saying it's not fair to try this man in a public forum or in the papers and on TV w/o all of the information being available and the investigation being complete.

Would you want this done to you? Would he?

Of course not, but the same approach can't be done for Zimmerman in FL.

Zimmerman's friend basically blamed Trayvon's not answering Zimmerman leading to Zimmerman killing Trayvon.

We don't know if Zimmerman just nicely asked Trayvon and walked away, he did have a hostile view of Trayvon by saying that Trayvon was an Bleep who always gets away.

I missed that. Could you post the link to Zimmermans friend that says TM did not answer so Zimmerman shot him. Of course it is all hearsay anyway, but I was curious to read it for myself.

I hear what your saying. If anyone other than a black guy is the shooter, expect the usual suspects to run with it to push their agenda. A black guy shoots another black guy??? crickets....

Here's a newsflash. Making an assessment and taking a position based on the information presented does not preclude someone from changing their position if new information is brought to light.

My opinion is that Zimmerman instigated the conflict, was getting his *** handed to him and then shot the kid.

My opinion is also that had Zimmerman returned his truck when he was told, none of it happens.

My opinion may change. I dunno. I choose to discuss the situation based on what we know right now. I don't see why anyone who's calling for fence riding until all the facts are out is even partaking at this point.
